Brother is gone never to re turn again. On Friday morning Jan. 3, 1919 the death angel visited our home and taken away the last son and brother we had. Oh, how sad it is to give up the last son and brother we had. It seems like it is more than we can stand, but God knows best and does all things for the best He giveth and he taketh away Henry was sick 9 weeks but he never grumbled about any thing while he was sick. He took every thing fair and easy and he thought so much of his Dr.. He would not eat only just what he would tell him he could eat. Every time his Dr. come he would tell him he wanted to get well. He didn’t want to do any thing that would hurt him, and he said a few days before he died, when Dr Otwell failed to do anything for any one you need not call for any other Dr., and we know that Dr. Otwell done all he could for Henry. Brother is not dead but sleep ing. The Lord saw fit to take Henry out of this troublesome world. Home is so lonely with out brother. I have no broth er to take me any where now. Oh, how sad it is to think back what a good time that brother and me had going to meeting together. Now I have no broth er to go with me. There is not but one thing that cheers my heart that some day we will all be together where there will be no more sad parting nor farewell tears shed, but will be together forever more. He leaves a father and mother, 3 sisters and one grandmother and other relatives and firends to mourn his death. Our loss is his eternal gain. Henry was 26 years, 5 months and 19 days of age. He joined the Baptist church Hightower in the year 1909 and lived a true Christian life until death. He joined the I. O. O. F. six years ago and thought lots of the order, he al so joined the Masonic in 1918 and he thought a lot of that or der and he was always ready to go every time he could tc both lodge meetings, and also his church. The last place he went to was the Masonic hall and was taken sick that night. He got every thing he called for to eat but one thing, while he was sick. About the 2nd morn ing before he died I give him his breakfast and oh, he was so lively that morning, he would laugh and talk and say his breakfast was so good. He sad “I am not hurting no where He was always lively and jok ing. When he was going to church or any where else he would come and tell his mother and father and tell them when he would be back, and when the time come we would be out looking for brother. We would hear him coming, singing some good song. Now we feel so lone ly. A voice we loved is still, a place is vacant in our home that can never be filled. I have 4 brothers that have gone to rest I don’t understand why the Lord has parted us children so young from one another here on earth. We all loved broth er but the Lord loved him best Effie Howard. —o — holders or LIBERTY BONOS are advised to hold them. If you must sell, deal only with respon sible bankers.
