THE UNIVERSAL CAR
Out of the more than 3,000,000 Ford cars
now in use, about sixty percent have becri sold
to farmers. Probably no other one thing has i
brought to the farm so much of comfort arid' j
profit as has the Ford car. It has enlarged j
the social life, doubled the facilities for market- i
ing, brought the town next door to the farm, ]
multipliedfor the farmer the pleasures of living. '
A family car without an equal in low cost of J
operation and maintenance. We solicit-your :
order for one now because the demand is large
and continually increasing^

IN MEMORY.
Of our dear father, J. H. Wil
lard, who departed this life on
May the 23rd, 1919, and was
laid to rest in Coal Mt. cemetery
May 24th, 1919, Rev. J. L. Wy
att conducting the funeral. He
joined the-Baptist church when
quite young and lived a Christi
an life until death. How ha>-d it
was to give father up, hut the
Lord giveth and the Lord tak
eth away. He has paid the debt
we will all have to pay sooner
or later. If we live as father did
;we can meet him in heaven,
where there will be joy forev
; ormore. Father talked 2 hours
before lie died. He wantd every
body to live right and meet him
in heaven. The golden gate wa.;
\ open wide, a gentle voice said
! come,,the angels on the other
| side welcomed our father home
\ Heaven now retains our treas
i ure, earth' the lonely casket
'keeps, and the sunbeams long
to lingr where the loved one
r sleeps. Weep not dear wife 1 m
not "dead,' when at midnight you
are sleeping I will hover ‘round
your bed. Pleasant dreams of
me will haunt you, weep not 1
am not dead. Weep not dear
children tho you have laid me
in the cold and silent grave,
there your father will be the Ist
to greet you with the One whe
died to save.
j Father leaves a wife, 11 chi)
-dren and a host of other rela
fives to-mourn his loss. All was
done for him that loving hands
could do, and the Lord said
come .up-higher to a place not
made with hands. Father was
sick for a long time and bore hit
suffering patiently, until twe
weeks before he died, and he
suffered s* hard that he want
ed To go'.''Father thou hast left
us here, our loss w deeply feel
but tis God who has bereft us
Pie can all o'ur sorrows heal.
Dear mother and children 1
will say grieve not for as you
have the assurance that you’ve
a husband and father with the
Christ in heaven. Then may we
all be prepared to meet in that
home whefe there will be no
■siekness nor death to separate
its from our loved ones. Then
dear father we are all glad we
can'sing “Asleep in Jesus, bless
edsleep, from which none ever
.w.ake to weep. We loved him,
yes, we loved him, but the an
gels: loved him best, and God
saw fit to call him to to yonders
heavenly rest. Oh, how sad it is
Tidver never again will we see
.his face on this earth, but still
-brighter up yonder. May we all
live a 'life-that we can meet fa
ther' in the Sweet bye and bye.
Thebe was a band in heaven
that was not quite complete, &
God called our dea.'- father to
fill the vacant, seat. His suffer
ings are all-over and he is en
joying the sweetness of Pieaven
Peaceful ifi the grave so low,
thou art waiting for the dear
ones here below. We will join
the heavenly band no more to
take the parting hand. All is
dark in our dwelling, lonely are
our hearts today, since the spir
it of our father has forever pass
eel away.
