Lt is a pretty hard matter to get hauling done from Buford for the past several days on ac count of the bad road on the other side of the river. We have just got in a pretty good shipment of paper, but the Company advises us to go slow and use just as little as possible as it is very scarce and hard to get. . , Mr. W. C. Wheeler is exper iencing some difficulty in secur ing the cement to make the brick for his new warehouse. We hope he will succeed in get ting them and will add his great improvement to our town ( Mr. Geo. W. Heard is erect ing anew warehouse on the lot where the Ezra Johnson house was burned. It will be sixty by one hundred feet, anti ■will be fire proof. Mr. Cliff Vaughan of Ros well and Mr. Reeves of Atlan ta have been in town this week putting the Fairbanks Morse engines in good shape for the owners. , . Mr. Oscar Durham and tarn ily of Savannah are visiting rel atives here and in the county. Oscar has not been here in sometime, but is always glad to roam over the hills ot his boy- hood days. , , The Highway Department has approved vouchers f° r $2,661.83 of the Highway fund for this county, and checks will be sent out in about sixty days for the amount.
