(IF NO, YOU SHOULD)
THAT to buy any car, other than the FORD, you have
to spend an average of at least $162.14 more as pur

THAT the FORD is the only car n.ow equipped with
the Holley Vaporizer, which has so greatly increased
mileage per gallon of gas?
THAT the FORD is the only car under the $3,000.00
class equipped with a Dual Ignition System, so when
complicated and delicate batte/y system is out of order
or battery is dead, you can continue using the car with
its old reliable magneto system?
THAT the FORD has more horse-power (A. L. & A. M.
rating) to each 100 lbs. of weight than any car made-

face per 100 lbs. of weight than any other car?

100 lbs. of weight than any other car?
THAT the latest model FORD has 80 percent increased
breaking area on the foot brake and 130 percent in

THAT the FORD planetary transmission costs more to
manufacture, and is simpler to operate, than a sliding
gear transmission?
THAT at 35 miles speed you can instantly go into re

an operation which will ruin a sliding gear transmiss
ion?
%THAT material used in the working parts of the FORD
are of the best quality known to engineering?
-THAT 43 percent of FORD parts arc sold at 15 cents
or less?
THAT SI.OO worth of FORD parts is the equivalent of
$3.00 to $25.00 worth of the parts of other cars.
THAT the FORD has a torque tube drive, found on
such high priced cars as Lincoln, Rolls-Royce, Mar
mon, etc.?
THAT the FORD has the simplest and most positive
oiling system of any car?
THAT the FORD has the Thermo Syphon cooling sys
tem, and needs no pump with its numerous parts and
attachments?
THAT in FORDS the gas flows by gravity to the gar
buretor, having no moving parts, with no chance of
vacuum tank or connection troubles?
THAT the FORD has an all-steel body—the most rigid
known?
THAT the FORD is a 3-point suspension car, the ad
vantages of which are +oo great to detail, but will glad
ly demonstrate?
THAT the new Proxylin Lacquer on the FORD car can
not be affected by acids or even hot water? You can
pour boiling tar on it and soak it off with gasoline with
out affecting its lustre.
THAT the Proxylin Lacquer finish on FORDS is the
most durable finish known?
THAT FORD cars take more abuse and show less de
preciation than any other car?
Thai the FORD car has the quickest get-away in traffic
and is easiest parked in congested districts?
THAT more wealthy people, who can afford anv car,
are buying FORDS than ever before?
THAT many a man has suffered loss of a good job, sav

own and operate a higher priced car in both purchase
price and upkeep than he could afford?
THAT high priced cars need high pressure salesmen to
prevent discussion of high automobile costs?
THAT automobile depreciation increases with invest

THAT the FORD dealer receives the smallest discount
given any car dealer by any manufacturer ?
THAT the FORD is really the ONE PROFIT car, be
cause the Ford Motor Company controls its basic,
sources of supply for raw materials?

highway in America?
THAT there have been 163 inprovements in the FORD
car during the last 12 months?
THAT all FORD service stations operate on a flat rate
basis—no haggling or arguing—no undercharging one
customer and overcharging another?
These facts have reference to cars manufactured in the
United States of America.

Important Message to High School Graduate.-,
and Others From the Well Known
Southern Business College.
Established Over 61 Years,
The Southern is the
School that Shows
Results.
•** ,qr ‘—
MISS ANNE AIKEN,
Who has Accepted Position
With Weyman & Connors, an
Important Atlanta Firm, Af
ter a Course in the S. S. & Bus.
University.
You are about to finish High
School, and, then, off to the
Business College, you will go,
many of you; so the SOUTH
ERN SHORTHAND & BUSI
NESS UNIVERSITY wishes to
tell you WHERE, WHEN and
WHY.
The SOUTHERN, in its beau
tifully equipped and com
modious quarters, 56 White
hall Street, Atlanta, Georgia,
bids for your patronage. This
school is WHERE you should
attend, because it can better
serve your interests.
You should enroll at the
SOUTHERN WHEN you leave
your present school, or just as
soon thereafter as possible.
There are many reasons
WHY you should take your
Business Course at the SOUTH
ERN and do so without much
delay.
The best paying positions
are secured by the SOUTH
ERN’S graduates because of
their thorough and complete
preparation.
Eight-tenths o f Atlanta’s
merchants, bankers and pro
fessional men indorse and
recommend the SOUTHERN
when called upon by prospec
tive pupils.
Don’t mail to any Business
College, nor pay to any repre
sentative, money on a Business
course. Wait until you see
the schools and inquire of the
business men in Atlanta about
them. Schools requiring de
posits in advance don’t want
prospective pupils to see the
SOUTHERN, hence, beware,
if you want to serve your best
interests.
The SOUTHERN BUSINESS
COLLEGE does not practise
deceit. A leading Atlanta
newspaper recently carried an
interview with a Business
■School man in which it was
stated that the faculty of one
of his institutions would in
clude such prominent men as
the State School Superintend
ent; Superintendent of Atlan
ta public schools; Superintend
ent of Fulton County public
schools; State Supervisor of
schools; State Supervisor of
high schools; State Superin
tendent of industrial rehabilita
tion, and others.

of Atlanta, seeing the embar-!
rassing position in which r.uchj
an announcement would place
these men holding public
offices and receiving their pay
from tax payers of this country,
if the announcement should be
true, immediately learned from
them that they are not, and
will not become, members of
the faculty and that such pub
lication was unauthorized.
Some of them stated that they
only agreed to deliver an ad
dress and would extend that
courtesy to any other school.
Is this duplicity? I'f not, by
what name shall it be called?
The SOUTHERN receives
not only high school graduates,
but also those who are so un
fortunate as to be forcefully
deprived of finishing high
school, and so does every other
Business School in Atlanta, al
though the institution above
referred to makes much ado
about high school graduates,
giving some of the superintend
ents and principals the idea
that it does not enroll under
graduates. This is a delusion
and the SOUTHERN, there
fore, insists upon every pros
pective pupil to come to Atlan
ta and EXAMINE and IN
QUIRE before enrolling in any
school.
The SOUTHERN’S standard
of efficiency and thoroughness
of its product are unapproach
ed by that of any other Busi
ness College in this state.
Read the letter following
which has been received from
a graduate. Such letters of ap
predation and praise are con
tinually being received by the
SOUTHERN.
Miss Anne Aiken, formerly
of Lithonia, had the ambition,
education and inclination to
become a business woman, so
she selected the Southern Bus)
ness College in which to pre
pare for a, business r&refiip.H; i*
qualities have carried her
through the business course
and put her on the road to
“business success.”
Miss Aiken says she would
not take anything for her busi
ness training. Neither would
you, young man, young woman,
after you shall have finished a
commercial course in the South
ern, because the practical train
ing that you would receive at
this old established institution
would make you independent
for life.
Over 25,000 young people
have tried it cut and are now
successfully launched in busi
ness.
The letter following, receiv
ed from Miss Aiken, shows the
loyalty and enthusiasm of a
patron:
Atlanta, Ga., April 4, 1927.
Southern Shorthand and
Business University.
Atlanta, Ga.
Gentlemen:
I take this opportunity to
write and thank you for the
training that I received while
in your college, which has pre
pared me for the business
world.
I would not take anything
for my course. 1 now have a
position with Weyman & Con
nors, in the real estate depart
ment, and lam much pleased
with it.
It gives me the greatest of
pleasure in recommending to
anyone planning a business
career, and one wanting a
thorough business training, to
attend the Southern Shorthand
and Business University, one of
the best and most thorough
business colleges in the South.
Wishing the Southern much
success, I am
Sincerely,
ANNE AIKEN,.
