Consideration.
Webster defines the word Consideration as meaning “thoughtful of the
RIGHTS, CLAIMS, and FEELINGS of others
This strikes us as being a very comprehensive definition expressed in a mighty
few words.
The writer has been thinking of the long, hot trying summer days just ahead
and wondering if there were not many many tired and weary housewives who
have to cook three meals a day over a wood burning stove or range that heats up
the kitchen and makes the temperature almost unbearable.
This being the situation don’t you men feel that you should buy your wives Oil
Stoves to demonstrate your Consideration of their rights and feelings.
An Oil Stove can be moved around to take advantage of the cool spots—
porch, yard, anywhere, and its always ready for u e: no smoke, no soot, no odor
and almost no heat—yet does as perfect cooking as the highest class range.
Suppose you try one this summer and see juSF Low grateful and how pleased
your wife will be—she is entitled to this Consideration.
The oil costs less than stove wood, and, as Phil Beach once remarked “You
don’t have to cut it or carry it in”—should have its appeal for you men unless
your wives also cut the wood, and take it all the way around we believe an Oil
Stove would be the solution of your summcrlinfe problems.
