Elsewhere., in this issue of
the News will be found a short
sketch of Mr. W. B. Puett who
was raised in Cumming and up
to 1886 worked in the old
Clarion office. We have in the
New's office, now, still in use, a
•5-legged stool made for him by
his father Esq. J. N. Puett in
187!). The legs are turned from
white-oak, and was made for
breast trees for a 2-horse wag
on—the top wals made from
the same material except the
timber was used to rip out
hand-made felloes for wheels
for wagons. The stool is still in
good usable shape after 52
years constant use.
Dr. Marcus Mashburn has
jut installed an X-Ray Ma

he installed a short time ago
represents an investment of
more than Two Thousand Dol

a ure are, proud to have in her
midst a physician with fore
sight.. enough., to install these
late methods for the allevia

Thos. J. Pirkle has large
wheat yields on his farms, and
some of the largest and best
grains we have ever seen. Mr.
Pirkle certainly is a good farm
er and one that makes every
thing at home in the way of
feed for hisi stock and plenty
for his own table and some to
sell—even has several hundred
fine., chickens... It will do any
one good to look over Mr. Pir

county farmers should take on

program and then make a lit

of making cotton our main
