"Dear Loyd, we miss thee.
Through the long weary days
When the twilight shadows
Into the darkness fades away,
We gather around the fireside
Doth not thy spirit keep
The hearthstone is vacant
The homestead is drear
Thou love one art gone.
When on earth was so dear
Thy footsteps are now silent
Thy work is all done,
But thy life of rejoicing
Is just now begun.
A precious one from us is gone.
A voire we love is still
A place is vacant in our home
That never can be filled.
