On Tuesday evening March 14th at
7 o'clock the regular monthly meeting
of the Worker’s Council was held at
the home of Mrs. H. Y. Stribling. A
large number were present. Mrs. A.
Motz of Atlanta representing St. Luke
Sunday School extended a very cor
dial invitation to Sunday School work
•ers here to attend the Atlanta Train
ing School Class to be held April 23
thru the 2sth. in Atlanta at the First
Methodist Church. Also a very cord
ial invitation was extended to a sup
per and Inspirational meeting at the
Kimball House on Thursday evening

The Roswell Glee Club under the
direction of Mrs. Swan L. Burnett
gave an interesting and entertaining
program at the 'Auditorium Friday
evening at eight o’clock. This club
consists of about thirty of Roswell’s
most talented young people. They will
give an Easter program at the Baptist
Church on Friday night before Easter
and at the Methodist Church on Sun
day evening of Easter Sunday. Hear
them.

We have had some real nice warm ,
sunrise weather for the past week.
March's lion that came in roaring
seems to be meekly changing to a
lamb and is quietly departing, it seems
perhaps by shedding some tears
therefore we hope she will usher old
man winter away.
There has been a great deal of sick
ness around here for the past few
weeks, those whose names appear on
the list are Mrs. Emmil Webb, Mrs.
J. A. Ellis, Miss Katherine Martin and
Mrs. Alford Jarvis, the latter has just
returned front the hospital where she
stayed for quite a number of days.
All the friends of those whose names
appear on this list will he glad to hear
they are all better.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Webb of Tal
batton were the guest of Joel B. Shir
ley and family some days ago.
Mr. Talmage Murdock and Mr. Kim
sey Christopher from Cross Plains
passed through here on a sporting trip
Saturday.
The friends of Miss Ruby Paris will
be sorry to hear that she had the mis
fortune to get a fall and was badly
hurt some days ago.

NOTICE OF SALE UNDER POWER

Under and by virtue of the power and
authority granted in a certain deed to
secure debt executed by Robert L.
Bowen on the first day of June, 1929,
to Guaranteed Bond ti Mortgage Corn
puny, a corporation of Fulton County,
Georgia, which said deed was duly
transferred and assigned by the said
Guaranteed Bond & Mortgage Com
pany to the Federal Life Insurance
Company, a corporation of the State
of Illinois, said deed and transfer
being recorded In Book 11, pages 185-
188, In the office of the Clerk of Sup
erior Court of Forsyth County, Geor
-1 gia, there will be sold at public out-cry
before the court nouse door in Forsyth
County, Georgia, by the Federal Life
Insurance Company, as Transferee,
acting as attorney-in-fact for the said
Robert L. Bowen, during the legal
hours of sale to the highest bidder for
cash on the first Tuesday in April, to
wit, April 4th, 1933, the following de
scribed property, to-wit:
The following described lands situ
ate, lying and being in the Second
(2nd) District and First (Ist) Section
of Forsyth County. Georgia, more par
ticularly described as follows:
Land Lot 685, containing forty (40)
acres, more or less; all of lot of land
755 except ten (10) acres on the south
side thereof, containing thirty (30)

lot except thirteen (13) acres on the

public road leading from Dr. Bell’s old

These powers are being exercised
and said property sold by the under
signed. as attorney in fact for the said
Robert I. .Bowen, for the purpose of
paying off the indebtedness secured by
said deed, which is in the principal
sum of Eleven Thousand ($11,000.00)
Dollars, and evidenced by seven (7)
notes in the amount of Five Hundred
($500,001 Dollars each, and one note
in the amount of Seventy-Five Hund
red ($7500.00) Dollars, executed and
delivered by Robert L. Bowen on June
Ist, 1929, payable to the order of Guar
anteed Bond & Mortgage Company,
and endorsed by it to the undersigned.

| of 7 per cent per annum, the first of
j the said notes in the amount of $500.-

and remaining notes in said amount
maturing annually thereafter, the
said note in the amount og $7500.00
maturing November Ist, 1938. The
said deed authorizes and empowers
said Guaranteed Bond & Mortgage
Company, or its assigns, to sell the
property therein described upon a de
fault iu payment of the notes therein
described, or upon a default in pay
ment of interest thereupon, and Hie
said Robert L. Bowen having default
ed In the payment of the interest
thereupon due November Ist, 1930, as
well as having defaulted in the pay
ment of the notes due November Ist.
1931, and November Ist, 1932, respect
ively, the said Federal Life Insurance
Company, as transferee, has declared
all of said notes now due and payable
in consequence of, said defaults. Said
deed provides that should a default in
the terms thereof occur, the under
signed may sell and dispose of the
property described therein in a sale
at public auction at the usual place of
conducting sales before the court
house door in the county in which
said premises are located to the high
est bidder for cash, first giving notice
thereof by advertising once a week for
four weeks in a newspaper published
in said county, setting out the time,
terms and place of such sale.
Said property will be sold as the
property of Robert L. Bowen and will
be sold by the undersigned, as trans
feree, as attorney in fact for the said
Robert L. Lowen, under the power and
authority granted in the aforesaid
deed to secure debt, in favor of the
Guaranteed Bond & Mortgage Com
pany. Said property will be sold for
the purpose of paying the aforesaid
debt in favor of the undersigned and
the lawful expenses of said sale as in
said deed provided.
