Jowrfre of false prophets, which come
:i you in sheeps clothing, but inward
y they are revening wolves. Mathew
?: 14. 15. Mathew, 24. 10. 11. And then
hall many beoffended, and shall -be
ray one another, and shall hate one
mother. And many false prophets
hall rise and shall deceive many and
;ejus answered and said unto them,
i’ake heed that no man deceive you.
'or many shall come in my name say
ng I am Christ and shall deceive
iany, Mark 13. 22 For false Christ
nd false prophets shall rise, and shall
how signs and wonders, to seduce, if
t were possible, even the elect what
did the Lord tell his people about such
hit. take heed: behold I have foretold
on all things. Acts 20. 29. For I know
this that after my departing shall
grievous wolves enter in among you
lot sparing the flock 1 Timothy, 4. 1.
Vow the Spirit speaketh expressly,
hat in the la'ter times some shall de
,a-t from the faith, giving heed to
f rt'C ing spirits and doctrine ot devils
how did Christ say they would talk
•' speak to the people. Here is what
he said. Speaking lies in hypocrisy;
having their conscience seared with a
hot iron; Second Peter 2. 1. But there
were false prophets also among the
ueaple, even as there shall he false
teachers among you. who privily shall
tiring in damnable heresies, even den
ying the Lord that bought them and
bring themselves swift destruction.
And many shall follow their pernicious
ways; by reason of whom the way of
truth shall he evil spoken of. And
through coveteousness shall they with
feigned words make merchandise of
you, whose judgment now cf a long
time lingereth not, and their damnat
ion slumbereth not. Kev. 13. And I
itood upon the sand of the sea and
saw a beast rise up out of the sea
.laving seven heads and ten horns,
uid upon his horns ten crowns and
upon his heads the names of blasph
emy. Now 1 want every one to read
tin balance of this chapter and you
will better understand those false
teachers. Just now the world is full
of teachers and we all know that and
we know that is not according to the
teaching of the Bible can’t be true
now with all of those Bible statements
telling us of false prophets, false tea
chers, Anti-Christ and all of those
warnings what can we do to know the
truth we sure ought to be careful what
we study and read so many different
kind of books scattered in our midst
some denying that we have a church
and no Gospel and are saying that the
preachers is the devils agents, mis
leading the people. 0 may the preach
ers open their mouths and warn the
people of those false teachers for Je
ms demands that his preachers re
buke them and have no fellowship
with them. 0 may God help his ser
vants to defend his Church. O may we
obey the Gospel and not Man, well we
had no meeting here on account of
the cold weather and sickness.
Miss Iris Hansard is still not much
hotter, Mr. H. D. Hansard has been
real sick but is better. Miss Blanch
Samples is not much improved yet
hut we truly hope that they all will
soon he well again now let us hear the
conclusion of the whole matter, and
what is it. fear God and keep his
Commandments, this is the whole duty
of man. Stand up. Stand up for Jesus,
for he is our friend.
