Realizing the need for more home grown feed and the possibility that
we have with the poultry manure available, we believe that there is need
f*r some feed Industry. The important part is that farmers can produce
a better finished bird CHEAPER with plenty of com.
RULES:
1. There must be 5 acres in the corn field. Permission is given to
cross branches and field roads in this calculation. May be bottom or upland
2. The seed must be yellow com. No restrictions as to variety.

3. Mus not top corn or pull fodder. Both these practices reduce yields.
4. Farmer may weigh com. Keep record of weight of each load. (You
may estimate yield according to formula suggested by E. D. Alexander,
Agronomist for State Extension Service.)
Yield and measurement must be certified to by three neighbors.
5. Corn must be planted by May 20.
' 6. Entry must be turned into your County Agent by June 1, 1947.
7. Counties included is contest are: Hall, Habersham, White, Lumpkin
Dawson, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Barrow, Banks and Jackson.
8. Decision of Judges will be final.
