NOTES AND COMMENT
Despite most executives’ fears, the business
would get along nicely without them.
Anything that involves your life is important
like safe driving for instance.
We had a humorous Idea for this paragraph
but forgot it; that’s funny, isn’t it?
We suggest women’s clubs be legally prevent
ed from meeting more than once a season.
If you are offered something for nothing, re
fuse the offer.
The sweet young things are now preparing for
the hunting season.
Humor depends largely upon whether you are
the maker or the receiver of the joke.
Then there is the intolerance of a minority
which nobody ever hears anything about.
Neither nation nor people are equal; but they
should have free and equal opportunity.
We are tired of entertainers who think they
win wars by doing a few shows for service men.
Some people make church work and attend
ance a part of their business or political effort.
Life’s uzzle: why is there such an oversupply
of those ready to lead, even without a request?
Itt’s easy to see which children get adequate
attention from their parents and those who do
not.
Advertising induces people to take money out
of the bank, from a sock, and spend it. That’s why
advertising creates business.
There are some parents always ready to let
somebody else’s son do the fighting necessary to
protect them, and their possessions.
Don’t take it too seriously when someone pays
you a compliment; there are people-who make
that a business.
Business now has a chance to show its free in
terprise capabalities now that most of the restrict
ions are gone.
_______ *
Economic aid to Europe is finally ending; it ac
complished its main purpose-an alliance of west
ern nations.
Whenever a profession degenerates into a mon
ey hunting expedition, the public will eventually
catch on and judge its members accordingly.
The reason most small-town stores do a small
town business is that they run on a small-town sys
tern.
If tthe Cmmunists ever get control in India,
Nehru and his brethren will wish the hated Brit
ish wer back.
