SURPRISE BIRTHDAY DINNER
In honor of her Birthday, Mrs.
Miles Wolfe was surprised with the
visit of her parents, all her brothers
and sisters, and a beautiful prepar
ed meal on Sunday May 16 at' their
home.
Mrs. Herman nWood, v/ith help of
her father made the plans and pre
pared the food and every thing was
in readiness when Mrs. Wolfe arriv
ed home from church. She received
many lovely gifts and the occasion
•was enjoyed by all.

BRIDE OF THOMAS NELMS
HOSIER, Ga.—Mr. and Mrs. M. F.
Shannon announce the engagement
of their daughter, Miss Ethel Shan
non, to Thomas E. Nelms of Cum
ming and Middleton. The wedding
will take place June 12.
The bride-elect attended Piedmont
College and the University of Geor
gia. She is employed by the Forsyth
County Board of Education as teach
er in the Cumming Public School.
Mr, Nelms is the son of Mrs. Net
tie Nelms and the late W. M. Nelms
of Middleton. He holds a degree in
agriculture from the University of
Georgia. He is employed by the
State Health Department as sani
tarian of Forsyth, Dawson and
Lumpkin counties.
