I BELIEVE
A distressed father brought his
son who was in a pltfiful condition
to be healed by the diciples of
Jesus. They failed when Jesus
came down from the Mountain of
Transfiguration, the boy was
brought to Him. Jesus said unto
him. "If thou canst believe, all
things are possible to him that be
lieveth”—The father of the boy
said, “Lord, I believe, help thou
mine unbelief.”
Jesus is a historial character, he
was begotten of God, born of the
Virgin Mary, he claimed to be the
son of God. He said, “I and the
Father are One”. Read the four
Gospels carefully and prayerfully.
If you desire to know the truth,
Jesus Christ is the way, the truth
and the life. The Holy Spirit of
God, dwelling in the heart of every
true believer will "guide you into
all truth”. This is the only way to
know the ultimate truth of God.
Don’t make the mistake of read
ing books about Jesus first—read
the words of Jesus first—listen to
every word He has to say. There
are books written by men who
deny the Virgin birth of Jesus.
Dr. Fosdick discards the book of
John. It would be foolish to listen
to the opinions of men and turn a
deaf ear to Jesus. If you really de
sire the truth you will know the
truth, I believe with all my heart
everything that Jesus claimed to
be. I know that I can implicitly
trust him; an imperfect person, as
I am, can surely trust a person
who has never sinned. I believ Him
when He says, "He that has seen
me has seen the Father”.
“Now faith is the assurance of
things hoped for, a conviction (the
proving) of things not seen”. Heb.
11: 1. "Being therefore justified by
faith we have peace with God thru
our Lord Jesus Christ”, Rom. 5: 1.
“For I am r.ot ashamed of the gos
yfcl: for it is the power of God
unto salvation to every one that be
lieveth. Rom. 1: 16.
If you read after men who ac
cept portions of the scriptures as
authentic and dicard other portions
because it doesn’t fit in to their
way of thinking. Those men are
dangerous; you will do well to “let
God be trrue and everry man a
liar”
