The majority is not necessarily right.
If you have an surplus money, use it to pay
your debts.
Now that the elections are over, we can get
down to the truth again.
Why is it that ignorant talk and the intelli
gent so often remain silent?
Running a church is a demanding job and
those who do it have no easy days.
Newspaper advertising is still the unquesttion
ed “best buy” in the advertising field.
The doctors often get down the country, but
the free services they perform in this commun
ity are seldom heard of.
For the first time in years, there are hardly
any major undefeated football teams left to be
“upset”.
The special sessin of the Senate is not expect
ed to accomplish much and will live up to ex
pectations.
The best entertainment is not that concerned
with dirt, lurid sex and trashy dialogue, plus
emphasis on drinking and smoking.
Television is mission out in the football field,
mainly because of the NCAA ban agninst it.
The present program is not the answer.
Nothing is so boring as the citizen who al
ways thinks his candidate is the pious one, and
who rides the white hore to the polls on every
occasion.

• The great thing about the United States is
not that all citizens are equal but that all can
make a place for themselves if they have the
determination.
«
Just ten years ago, the cold weather was strik
ing hard at millions of Allied soldiers fighting
in Europe. We have much to be thankful for ten
years later.
Whether the United States has reached mat
urity as a. nation will t|j seen in the next Tew
vears-when we will demonstrate to the world
whether we learned anything from our isolation
ism between the world war's.
Intelligent editorials should stress both sides
of an issue and express an opinion. Editors who
always come out fighting with solutions to every
problem of the day, every day, often do more
misleading than leading.
It is estimated that $10,000,000 worth of ra
dio-TV coverage was given the McCarthy-Army
hearings. Even more valuable treatment was
given the show in the country’s newspapers. All
that for a drama with no conclusion!

It’s the valve-in-head Y 8 as only
the valve-in-head leader can build it!
You’d expect Chevrolet to out-V8 the field—and it has! Chevrons
new "Turbo-Fire V 8” puts a brand-new kind of excitement under your
foot. The excitement of 162 horsepower! The excitement of an 8 to 1
ultra-high compression ratio that squeezes more pure fun out af a
gallon of gas than you ever dreamed possible! The new "Turbo-Fire
V 8" is so efficient that it requires only four quarts of oil instesd of the
usual five or more. And it has the shortest piston stroke in the low
price field, for longer engine life. But we can’t even bcg : n to give
you the whole story here. Come in and drive the new 'lurLo-Fiie Vfc!”
With enough new advances
to fill a book!
Chevrolet offers two new highstepping sixes for '.935! Theie’s the new
' Blue-Flame 136” (teamed with Powerglide as an enra cos’, option)
and the new "Blue-Flame 123.” Both bring nrw, higher r.-.red
power—the zippy, thrifty high-compression kind, iicth have new, more
efficient cooling and lubrication systems . . . new engine n.o-ar.ts that
result in almost unbelievable smoothness. And, like ti.e new ' Turbo-
Fire VB,” both are sparked by a new 12-volt electrical system for finer

smoothest sixes Chevrolet ever put into a passenger car!
