During the past 10 years we have spent more
than $277 million expanding and improving our
facilities for serving you. This year we plan
to spend $32 million more. Construction plans
for the three years 1955-57 call for an
investment of about SIOO million.
In 1954 our customers used nearly 7 per cent
more electricity than they did in 1953, and the
trend of this use is still upward.
Last year we added 23,000 new customers to our.
lines. They included more than 20,000 new homes,
2,500 commercial establishments and 28 large
industries.vThere was plenty of power for aH. "*

THIS OLE CAR
This ole cor once knew some children,
This ole car once knew a wife,
This ole car once knew a husband
And a merry family life . . .
But this family's trips are over,
Picked a dang'rous spot to pass—
Then they saw death’s angel peekin'
Through the broken windshield glass.
AiiriH gonna need this car no longer,
Aim It gonna need this car no more—
IMvd no time to fix the brakes up,
Wad no time to fix the door,
Had no .time to fix the steerin'
<Or to drive with more restraint—
Ain't gonna need this car no longer,
They've been taken to meet the Saint . . .

Yea, indeed...biscuits go like hot cakes when
you pour on plenty of delicious dark Karo...
there’s nothing like it for good eating. Satis
fyin’ flavor. So rich it stands right up on top
of biscuits (keeps ’em light and fluffy). Keep
Karo on your table morning, noon and night
...it tops anything!
