VFW POST 9143 DELEGATES
ATTEND CONVENTION
Post 9143 of The VptQrans of
Foreign Wars was well represertted
at the State Encampment of the
VFW held in Savannah, Georgia
June 17th through the 19th. Past
Post Commander Ed Woods with
Commander Henry Evans, Senior
Vice Commander Dorsey Tinsley,
Junior Vice Commander J. L. Ban
nister and delegate Loy Bagley
attended the Encampment and re
ported a very interesting and
worthwhile Convention.
Past Commander Woods was a
member of the State Resolutions
Committee that did an outstanding
job in handling the numerous Re
solutions that came before the
Committee. This is the second year
in a row that our Post has had a
member on a State Committee and
indicates the prestige that our
rather young Post has gained in
the few years it has been activat
ed.
The Ninth District was also very
fortunate in that it had two of it’s
members elected to State Offices.
James Grant of Lawrencevile was
elected to the number two office,
Sr. Vice Commander and Doctor
Charles Andrews of Canton was
relected as Department Surgeon.
No other District in the State has
more officers than the Ninth.
Macon Georgia, was selected to
be the host City to the VFW Con
vention for next year. W«| are
planning to have a large delegation
attend this Encampment.

THEY’RE BOTH CONVERTIBLE. Lovely "Bette Lentz shows the
few extra parts needed to change a modern shallow well Myers
water system for deep well service when the well water level drops.
Like Bette’s combination dress and bathing suit, a convertible water
system means extra mileage for your initial investment. For, if an
extra dry Rummer drops the water level in the well at Bette’s
suburban home, her dual-purpose Myers water system will go down
after it. That means Bette will have plenty of water to fill her
swimming pool, all summer long, and plenty of uses for her dress
swim suit.
