School, April 5, at 8 o'clock. The
new officers will be installed at
this time. Mrs. Zelma Bannister
and Mr. Walter Rucker will have
charge of the program. Refresh

Mrs. Florence Patterson of Cum
ming announces the marriage of
her daughter Miss Beulah Patter
son to Mr. Robert E. Fowler, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Louie Fowler of
Buford on March 9th at the home
of Rev. Hoyt Thompson. Rev.
Thompson officiating.
The bride wore a beigh suit with
brown accessories. The groom wore
a navy suit. Miss Sue McDaniel of
Cumming was Maid of Honor. She
chose a beige suit with pink ac
cessories. Mr. Larry POole of Bu
ford served as best man.
Other guests present were Mrs.
Raibon Samples ,Miss Grace Pat
terson of Cumming, Mr and Mrs.
Douglas Holman, Mr. and Mrs.
Billy Leak of Buford.
The bride is a graduate of Cum
ming High School and attended
North Georgia College and is now
employed at Wilson & Co., Inc., of
Cumming. The groom is a gradu
ate of Sugar Hill High School and
is now employed at General Motors
Inc.
After the ceremony a reception
was held at the bride and groom’s
apartment. After a wedding trip
to the mountains the newlyweds
are residing in Buford.
SCOUTS VISIT ..
OKEEFENOKEE SWAMP
I The Explorers and their Scout
! Masters made a visit to the Okee
■ fenokee Swamp leaving on Thurs
| day at three o’clock A. M. After
being delayed by the breaking
down of the bus, they arrived at
Camp Stepphen Foster where they
set up camp on Thursday night,
i On Friday morning the Scouts left
i for Billy’s Lake where they slept
under a big tent, cooked their food,
and lived with nature. The Scouts
1 found tamed deer and alligators
, there. A a visit to
the “Big Waters”. After having
i three days of fun, they returned
home on Sunday night. This is a
portion of the activities sponsored
for the Scouts of Northeast Ga.

The Chestatee H. D. Club met
Wednesday March 21 at the lunch
room with 16 members present.
The meeting was called to order
by the president, Mrs. Carroll
Floyd. The scripture reading was
by Mrs. Ray Burtz followed by a
song and prayer, Mrs. Bill Cross
read the poem “Are You”. We wel
comed four new members to our
club. The new members are, Mrs.
J. B. Mooney ,Mrs. Clyde Wood,
Mrs. Leon Evans and Mrs. Ethel
Bennett.
Mr. Garner, our principal show
ed us a film on Johnson Wax, it
being spring cleaning time and we
enjoyed it very much.
Thanks to Mrs. Bannister for
giving her time for the film.

try to express my deep appreciat

did for me in my race for Sheriff.
I honestly believe that I have
the most loyal and faithful group
of friends than any person in the
world and the hard work you did
in my behalf in this race, not only
elected me Sheriff of Forsyth, but
gave me an opportunity to live at
home with my family and help to
raise my boys.
For this I can never express my
appreciation, hut to repay you in
part, I am going to try to make
Forsyth County a Sheriff that you
can take pride in saying that you
helped elect.

for Tallant and Wallace, I appre
ciate that you did not make and
active fight against me, and to all
the many friends and supporters

A. M. at Longstreet Baptist church
located on Midway and Holbrook
Campground Road, with singers
from all parts expeeted including
