Mary Alice Hospital. Mrs. Castle

has returned home after having
her Tonsil removed one day last
week. She is doing nicely.

and Wednesday spend the day
guest were Mrs. David Shoemaker
and son of Montgomery, Ala., and
Mrs. Joe B. Smith of Cartersville.
MRS. RAYMOND C. ORR DIES
WEDNESDAY, MAY 2
Mrs. R. C. Orr died unexpectedly
at her home Wednesday May 2, at
the age of 69.
Mrs. Orr was born in Hall Coun
ty, her parents being the late Jam
es M. Bagwell and Julia Phillips
Bagwell. She joined Flat Creek
Baptist church when a young girl,
later moved her church letter to
Bethel Baptist church of which she
was a member at time of her death
Mrrs. Orr was much loved for her
Christian attributes and kind inter
est in her family and neighbors,
and her passing is mourned by a
host of friends as well as relatives.
Funeral services were held on
Thursday May 3, at 2 p. m. at
Bethel Baptist Church with the
Reverends Hoyt Thompson, D. M.
Nalley, W. H. Warren and Leon
Morgan officiating.
Pall bearers were: E. E. Orr, B.
C. Bagby, Joel Nuckolls, Bunyon
Bagwell, Jarman Bagwell, C. E.
Orr, Marcel Frazier, Homer Light.
Surviving are her husband, R. C.
Orr, daughter, Mrs. R. R. Burruss,
a son Broadus Orr, 2 grandchildren
Bobbie Sue and Jimmy Burruss all
of Cumming, 1 sister Mrs. J. C.
Taylor, Atlanta, 1 brother E. W.
Bagwell, Flowery Branch, 1 sister
in-law Mrs. J. A. Bagwell of Oak
wood and other relatives

MISS ANNIE LEE BOTTOMS
Mr. and Mrs. James T. Bottoms of Cumming and Chamblee, Geor
gia wish to announce the engagement of their daughter Annie Lee
Bottoms to Thomas Eugene Furr, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Furr of
North Little Rock, Arkansas.
The Birde-elect attended Cumming High School during the School
Term of 1951-52. She then transferred to Chamblee High School where
she was graduated in 1954. Was employed by Southern Bell Telephone
and Telegraph Company for eighteen months, is now employed by Mc-
Fadden Business Publications as Receptionist.
The future bridegroom attended North Little Rock High School. He
is with the United States Navy, and at the present is stationed at Barin
Field, Foley, Alabama.
The wedding is scheduled to take place in June.
HOME COMING PARTY FOR
CLASS OF 1941
The auditorium of the Forsyth
County High School was the scene
of a gala occassion Saturday night
May sth, when about 35 members
of the 1941 Graduating Class of
Cumming High met with their
husbands and wives, for a Home
Coming Dinner Party.
Fun really began as the class
assembled and each member tried
to identify the other over the
changes that fifteen years had
made.
The dining room was beautifully
decorated carrying out the Class
colors of blue and white in the
floral arrangement on each table
and school colors Red and Black
were used in the 3-tier birthday
cake. The cake centered fKe table
embedded in red and white roses.
After dinner A. C. Smith, Jr.,
presided giving the highlights of
our Senior year, which included
reading the Who’s Who list and
Senior inventory. This brought back
'many happy memories to all. Later
each member was asked to stand
ar.*l tell where he or she lives and
their occupation.
We were happy too have Mrs.
Ado Gage Coots, one of our teach
ers, and our Class Mother, Mrs.
Hugh Matthews with us and hope
next year more of our teachers and
Class members will be able to at
tend.
It was voted to make this an
Annual Affair and officers elected
for the ensuing year were:

her dance pupils from the Cum
ming Elementary School in a Reci
tal Friday evening, May 11th at
8:00 in the Cumming Gymnasium.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Forrest and
Betty spent Sunday in Alpharetta
They attended Church Services at
the Baptist Church. The Truett-
McConnell Chorus were there and
Miss Barbara Forrest is a member
of the Chorus.

The Piedmont Home Demonstra
tion Club met at the Club House
Monday April 30th, with 11 mem
bers present.
