Forsyth County farmers can get
further relief this year from gaso
line taxes according to a letter re
ceived from Mr. Paul Cobb, Dis
trict Director of Internal Revenue
Service.
In addition to present refunds
available on gasoline used for fram
ing purposes, the refund on Feder
al taxes will amount to two cents
per gallon at the present time.

chased after December 31, 1955,
and used on the farm for farming
purposes before July 1, 1956. These
claims must be filed on or before

THAT GLUM-LOOKING GAL on the left is gorgeous Gloria Shannon
who shows how much hard work it is to set her hair with an old
fashioned home permanent wave. As the “strobe” photo shows, her
hands must go up and down, up and down about 40 times because 40
curlers are required for a conventional setting. But look to the right!
There’s Gloria, oozing joy, as she uses a new home permanent which
ireduces by half the time and energy required for the most tiresome part
of the home permanent job—winding. Developed by Richard Hudnut
beauty laboratories, the New Quick home permanent has a revolution
ary, pure wave lotion which cuts in half the number of necessary curlers
because it penetrates the hair so much faster. Best of all, the new,
clear wave lotion is so free from impurities that it can be recapped, the
unused half saved for future use.

Judge Woolfolk said that one of
the primary needs of Boys Estate
is a school within the township.
At present, the boys are trans
ported to school in Darien.
Mr. Sechler said that the esti
mated cost of the school building
would be SBO,OOO, and that the
Consumer Finance Association will
undertake to raise this amount
from its 200-odd loan offices over
the state.
He said that a comprehensive
fund-raising drive has been set
up and that the general public
would be invited to participate.
Located at Boys Estate now are
several cottages, a United States
Post Office, public works build
ing, barber shop, laundry and sev
eral barns.
The boys elect city officials,
maintain a police and sanitation
department, and, in general, carry
on the same program of public
activities as any other town in
Georgia.
Judge Woolfolk said: “I am
happy to have the opportunity to
participate in this most worth
while project of raising funds for
the erection of a school building
at Boys Estate, Ga. I know of
no program anywhere that will
be of greater benefit to our nation
than one which benefits our youth.
I urge all Georgians to aid in this
campaign.”
