Basic Peach Conserve Recipe

The secret to the versatility of this basic peach conserve recipe
is the change in flavor by adding different ingredients. Secret to
doing it the easy way is the new way of sealing.
For now you can seal jams, jellies, conserves, etc., without
paraffin and do a better jyb too! This is made possible by a new
shoulderless half pint jar, just the right size for preserves and
relishes. It has a screw top and seals with a regular two-piece home
canning cap. The metal lid gives excellent protection against dust
and vermin, and is easier to use.
The jar is versatile. Besides functioning as a screw top jelly
glass, it is a home canning and freezing jar. The size is ideal for
relishes and canning for two.
For something extra special, try this IVach Conserve:
Peach Conserve **
T cups chopped peaches V* teaspoon salt
1 orange Vs cup blanched almonds
5 cups sugar or walnuts
Wash, drain, scald, peel, chop and measure peaches. Finely chop
peel and pulp of orange and add to peaches. Boil 20 minutes. Add
sugar and salt. Boil until thick. Add nuts about 5 minutes before
removing from heat. Pour, boiling hot, into Half Pint Jars; seal at
once with regular home canning caps.
Peach and Maraschino Cherry Conserve
** Follow above receipe except use Vi cup Maraschino cherries
Instead of nuts. Chop cherries before measuring.
Peach, Nut and Itaisia Conserve
Add '4 cup seedless raisins to the recipe for Peach Conserve.
Peach and Plum Conserve
Follow recipe for Peach Conserve except U3e 5 cups peaches and
2 cups of any variety of tart plums.

and received my education in the
schools of this county. I graduated
from Cumming High School in
1941 and attended North Georgia
College. I served with the United
States Army Air Forces in the Se
cond World War. Since receiving
my discharge in 1945 I have been
engaged in the operation of a
hatchery and poultry business in
Silver City.
If elected to this office I assure
you that I will be ON DUTY and
will be as honest and sincere in
voting for legislation as I know
how. I will work for this county,
not only while the Legislature is in
session but throughout the two
year term, in securing the things
that will make our county more
prosperous and a better place in
which to live.
If elected it will be my desire
to be of service to you and try to
never do anything that will make
the people of Forsyth County
ashamed of me.
