HABITS GOOD AND BAD
Habits express your attitudes
toward God and man. In a sense
life is made up of a big bundle of
habits. Habits of accuracy, tho
roughness, reverence, honesty, sob
erness, service for others backed
up with genuine love, will certain
ly give strength to one's character
and will certainly inspire confi
| dence in others.
For more than fifty years I
have observed the lives of people
who possessed these habit® and
have seen the good influences that
have radiated from their lives in
pointing others to the Christian
way of life. Two of the finest hab
its for young parents to form is:
1. To read the Bible to their child
ren and pray with them (ask the
blessing at each meal revently).
2. Take your children to church
and worship with them there.
Practice your faith before thorn
in word and deed.
I have seen happiness disap
pear and (he finer spiritual quali
ties of life fade away because of
bad habits in one’s life. Some of
these bad habits are: Making the
Holy Day a holiday (falling to
attend worship services): the use
of strong drink and dope is the
surest way I know to disaster,
spiritual bankruptcy and failure:
immoral living brings on failure
also.
Life is one long struggle for
righteousness and the cause of
Christ and against wickednes ;
selfishness. With the help oi the
Holy Spirit we can conquer ’hc r e
evil habits. No man liveth unto
himself and no man dieth unto him
self. What you do for others in
the spirit of Christ is the only
thing that will last.

Card Of Thank*
We wish to express our heart
felt thanks to our many friends
and relatives for their kindness
during the sickness and death of
our Dear Mother, Mrs. Sallie Settle
who departed this life August 15,
1959.
To each of you we cannot find
words to express what we fee! in
our hearts. The floral offering was
very beautiful, that to express the
long and beautiful 96 years she
had lived. She lived a beautiful
life. We miss her so very much.
The Lord knows best, we all
know that she is al rest. She had
grown so weary, tho she never
complained.
tMay God bless each and every
one of you.
