LAND-Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Land, of Cumming, announce the
birth of a daughter, Mary Alice, on April 18, 1969 at the For
syth County Hospital. Mrs. Land the former Thelma Chester
Day, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Day of Dawsonvllle.
Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Everett Land of Rt. 1
Cumming. The baby joins a sister, Helen Ann.
LOWERY-Mr. and Mrs. Franklin B. Lowery of Cumming, an
nounce the birth of a daughter, Ellina Michele on April 9, 1969
at the Forsyth County Hospital. Mrs. Lowery, the former
Mary Ellen Pilcher, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Pilcher of Cumming. Paternal grandparents are Mr. Frank
Lowery, and Mrs. John C. Locklarr.
SWANEY-Mr. and Mrs. Bill Swane y of Woodstock announce
the birth of a daughter, Pamela Ann of April 8, 1969 at the
Forsyth County Hospital. Mrs. Swaney, the former Bonnell
Blackwell, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Blackwell
of Cumming. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Hubert
Swaney of Woodstock.
HANSARD-Mr. and Mrs. Danny Hansard of Cumming, announce
the birth of a son, Terry Scott, on April 14, 1969 at the Forsyth
County Hospital. Mrs. Hansard the former Diane Padgett, is
the daughter of Mr. H. M. Padgett of Cumming. Paternal
grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Wint Hansard of Cumming.
The baby joins a brother Timothy Dan, age 2.
GAINES-Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Gaines of Gainesville, announce
the birth of a daughter, Kathy Ann on April 12, 1969 at the
Forsyth County Hospital. Mrs. Gaines, the former Doris Ann
Edwards is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Edwards of
Gainesville. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Luke
Gaines of Pendergrass, Ga.

FERGUSON-Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ferguson of Cumming, an
nounce the birth of a son, Michael Lamar on April 7, 1969 at
the Forsyth County Hospital. Mrs. Ferguson, the former Betty
Key, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Euwell Key of Cumming.
Paternal grandparent is Mr. Allen Ferguson of Hawassee, Ga.
The baby joins a sister, Melissa Renee, age 2.
BURTON-Mr. and Mrs. Cecil F. Burton of Cumming, announce
the birth of a daughter Melinda Gail, on April 8, 1969 at the
Forsyth County Hospital. Mrs. Burton, the former Betty Sue
Black, is the daughter of Mr. Dewey Black of Dahlonega, Ga.
Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Burton of
Dahlonega.
SMITH-Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Franklin Smith of Cumming, announce
the birth of a son, Todd Dexter, onApril 14, 1969 at the Forsyth
County Hospital. Mrs, Smith the former Rachel Bales, is the
County Hospital. Mrs. Smith the former Rachel Boles, is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Boles of Cumming. Paternal
grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith of Cumming,
SHADBURN—SP/4 and Mrs. Loyd Shadburn of Vietnam and
Cumming, announce the birth of a daughter, Wendy Joyce, on
April 15, 1969 at the Forsyth County Hospital. Mrs. Shadburn,
the former Joyce Youngblood, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Lenore Dye, is the daughter of Mrs. Bessie M. Dye of Mahle
ton. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John F. Bruce

The degrees were presented
by Mrs. Helen Brooks and Miss
Wanda Beck, Sponsors for the
club, and Janet Sorrells and
Theresa Echols, project chair
men.
Cheryl Welch introduced this
year’s Chapter Parents, Mrs.
Barron and Mr. Bennett.
The entertainment was pro
vided by the First Baptist Youth
Choir under the direction of Mr.
Ronald McClure.
MRS. BRAMBLETT
Mrs. George W. (Velvie Tri
bble) Bramblett, age 78, of
Cumming died April 11, 1969
of a sudden illness. Funeral
services were held April 13,
1969 at the Firendship Baptist
Church with Rev. Hoyt Thomp
son and Rev. Frank Vaughan
officiating. Interment was in
the church cemetery.
Survivors include her hus
band, George W. Branblett, dau
ghter Mrs. Edwin Otwell, 4
sons Mr. Weldon Bramblett,
Mr. Thad Bramblett, Mr. James
E. Bramblett and Mr. Frank
Bramblett, 10 grandchildren
and 2 great grandchildren, 2
brothers, Dr. P. W. Tribble
and Mr. L. H. Tribble.

Mrs. Walter S. (Estella)
Shoemake, age 71, of Gaines
ville died April 23,1969 follow
ing a long illness. Funeral
services were held April 24,
1969 at the Cross Roads Bap
tist Church with Rev. Monroe
Smith and Rev. William Rich
ards officiating. Interment was
in the church cemetery.

of Cumming died April 20,1969
following a long illness. Fun
eral services were held April
22, 1969 at the Salem Methodist
Church in Dawson County. Rev.
Roscoe Simpson and Rev. W.
R. Callaway officiated. Inter
ment was in the church ceme
tery.
Survivors include: wife Lillie
Gazaway Freeman, sons, Mr.D.
O. Freeman, Gainesville; Mr.
Clay Freeman and Mr. Frank
Freeman, Cumming; daughter

its meeting April 10. The meet
ing was called to order by Vice
President Dennis Bailey. The
Bible was read by Dennis Bail
ey. A poem was read by Janice
Rickett. Dennis Bailey gave a
demonstration on How to Con
trol Soil. Two awards of ex
cellence were given to Dale An
derson for biscuits and Better
breakfast. Mr. Rucker spoke
about the Rabies Clinic and
4-H Camp.
