EVERY REQUIREMENT FOR COMFORTABLE LIVING
PLAN FOR LUXURY
including powder room with
double vanity. One extra in the
bedroom wing is the large cen
tral linen storage closet.
Symmetry is perfect in this
colonial exterior. Windows, roof
breaks, columns and central en
try hall are all in accord with
true colonial design. The rake on
the front gable is appropriately
decorated with dentils and small
circular fixed glass window. Den
tils are also carried along cor
nice below frieze. Columns are
round with base and ionic cap.
The family living portion of
this plan includes elbow room in
all rooms. The living room is a
large one with excellent place
ment of doors and windows to
offer balance in furniture place
ment and drapes. The false fire
place is centered, offering a very
pleasing effect. The large dining
room is also designed with these
two important features in mind.
Plus, formal dining may be pro
vided for numerous guests.
The separate foyer is spacious
and door entry includes side
lites for that important peek at
callers.
The Plan is Number 3009. It
includes 3,099 square feet of liv
ing area. For further informa
tion write W. D. Farmer, 15

Small Farm Benefits
Included In Program
Small farm benefits are in
cluded in the 1970 upland cotton
program, according to C.A.
Bagwell, Chairman of the For
syth County Agricultural Stabi
lization and Conservation (ASCI
Committee.
Small farm payments will be
11.95 cents a pound times the
farm projected cotton yield
times 35 percent of the farm al
lotment. Thesepaymentswillbe
made only to producers with co
tton allotments of te n acres
or less on their allotment.
To earn this payment a farmer
must sign up for the voluntary
cotton program and comply with
the program provisions. He may
plant no cotton, some cotton
or his entire alltoment and still
receive the special small farm
payment.
The small farm payments
provision does not apply where
the transfer of allotments cr
eated a small cotton farm. That
is, Mr. Bagwell explained, if
a producer with a 20-acre
allotment leased 15 acres for
transfer off his farm, he is
not eligible for the small farm
payment on his remaining 5-
acre allotment. Nor is a small
farm which is created by re
lease of allotment acres eligi
ble for small farm payment.
All cotton producers who sign
up in the 1970 program and com
ply with program provisions
will be eligible for regular
price-support payments of 16.80
cents a pound times the farm’s
projected yield times the cotton
acreage planted within the fa
rm’s domestic allotment. (The
domestic allotment is 65 per
cent of the regular cotton all
otment of the farm.)
All cotton producers in the
1970 program also will be eli
gible for price- support loans
based o n a national average
loa n rate of 20.25 cents a
pound for all cotton they pro
duce.
