Piano Students
Have Party
Miss Kathy Bennett honored
her piano students with a Ch
ristmas party at the Chestatee
Clubhouse on Monday, Decem
ber 22.
Twenty-nine of her thirty
six students attended the party.

sent were Miss Bennett’s mo
ther, Mrs. Louise Bennett, and
her sister, Kelly Bennett.
Decorations carried out the
Christmas theme. Games were
played and gifts exchanged. Re
freshments were then served.

Donald Thompson, Executive

County Bank, announced that
checks will be honored at par
through the local financial in
stitution effective January 1.
“We welcome the opportun
ity to serve all customers In
a manner which will be more
businesslike,” he said.
Thompson pointed out that
the Forsyth County Bank has
been a non-par bank since its
opening five years ago.
“To our customers, this means
there will be no charge when
they cash a check in another
city,” Thompson added.

Theron Lamb

PFC Theron J. Lamb was
inducted into the Armed Service
March 17, 1969. Received his
Basic Combat Training with
the USATC Infantry at Ft. Be
nning-Columbus, Ga.
He has been stationed at HHC
(Headquarters and Headquar
ters Company) Ft. Wainwright-
Fairbanks, Alaska since June,
where he is with the TMP
(Transportation Motor Pool) th
ere. He had the honor of being
selected as driver of the float
in the Golden Days Parade Ce
lebration for the Cub Scout
Pack #334 in July at Fairbanks.
PFC Lamb is a 1967 graduate
of Forsyth County High School.
He was employed with the St.
Regis Paper Company, Dora
ville, Ga. before entering ser
vice. He is the 20 year old
son of Mr. and Mrs. James O.
Lamb, Cumming.
Chestatee 4-H
The Chestatee 4-H Girls were
given a party Dec. 15 from 7
to 9 p.m. It was held in the
school lunchroom. We played a
game, then had refreshments.
After everyone had eaten we
exchanged gifts.
