income taxes have increased
during that period by approx
imately 17 per cent. Substantial
increases "have occurred and
will continue to occur in the
costs of the materials, supp
lies, and services required in
the Company’s operations. Mo
reover, capital expenditures
which do not produce additional
revenues to the Company but,
because of current gas supply
conditions, must be made in
order for the Company to con
tinue to supply the demands of
its customers and supplement
pipeline gas supplies are also
set forth in the application.
It is further set forth in the
application that the rates pro
posed will result in an annual
increase in the Company’s
gross revenues of $15,700,000
or an increase of approximately
8.5 per cent.
This matter has been
assigned for public hearing be
fore the Commission beginning
at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday,
September 6, 1972, in the Co
mmission’s Hearing Room, 177
State Office Building, 244 Wa
shington Street, S.W. Atlanta,
Georgia, at which time anyone
interested in this matter will be
given an opportunity of expre
ssing his views.
