Mr. and Mrs. Sam Mashburn
Miss Teresa Diane Williams
became the bride of Samuel
Edward Mashburn, Saturdav
June 3, 1972 at the home of the
bride.
The double - ring ceremony
was performed by Reverend
Hoyt Thompson at 4:00 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Homer Williams
of Cumming. The groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel
C. Mashburn of Canton.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore,a floor
length gown of white double
knit with white seed pearl trim.
The veil was of silk illusion
and a crown f seed pearls. The
bridal bouquet -was of white
carnations with yellow rose bud
center.
Mrs. Wayne Heard presented
the wedding music. Miss Joan
Poole of Canton srved as Maid
of honor. She wore a floor len
gth gown of yellow double knit
with floral trim and carried a
single long-stemmed yellow ro
se with yellow streamers.
The other attendant was Miss
Vickie Mashburn of Cumming,
cousin of the bride. She was
dressed identical to the maid of
honor and carried a long st
emmed yellow rose with yellow

Mrs. Williams wore a mint
green double knit dress and she
chose a corsage of yellow car
nations. Mrs. Mashburn wore a
pink lace dress. Her corsage
was of pink carnations.
The bride’s parents pre
sented entertaiment in their
home with a reception following
the ceremony.
Miss Jan Watson kept the bri
de’s book.
The tiered wedding cake set
on decorated columns. A bou
quet of yellow roses was pla
ced on the side and between
each layer of the cake.
Silver candelabra hoi ding wh
ite candles were surrounded
with deep yellow pom-poms
and light yellow carnations.

Buford. Punch was served from
a silver punch bowl placed on
the decorated table with the
wedding cake.
For her going away outfit the
bride chose a yellow double knit
dress with yellow rosebud trim
and a beautiful yellow rosebud
corsage.
After wedding trip to Panama
City, Florida, the couple is now
living in Canton.

this Monday and Tuesday.

27 watercolors and a great many
sketches for their 1968 edition

Anniversary August 26th.

Dawson County chooses the sec
ond, third and fourth weekends
in October to decorate their
town square fbr a Fall Fest
ival.

and jams, arts and crafts, hot
biscuits with ham or sausage

Dawson County Jaycees include
their community projects to
create a variety of interest
and fun.
