Church
Group
Meets
Cherokee Presbytery held
its Stated Fall Meeting at the
Chickamauga Presbyterian
Church on Oct. 16. The Rev.
Kenneth Terrell, host pastor,
led the opening worship and
served the communion
assisted by the elders of the
Chickamauga Church.
The Rev. Douglas Stearns,
a member of Atlanta
Presbytery, was received into
the membership of Cherokee
Presbytery, and a Com
mission appointed to install
him as pastor of the Cohutta
Presbyterian Church. He will
also be the organizing pastor
of a new work in Whitfield
County.
John Evans, General Staff
Director of the GEB, gave a
detailed description of the
new structure of the
Presbyterian Church, U.S.
and in a brief question and
answer period helped the
Presbytery to see the un
derlying philosophy behind
this reorganization.
NOTICE TO AUCTIONEERS,
DEVELOPERS, BROKERS
AND OTHERS
Regarding subdivisions of land
for auction sales.
The new Forsyth County Sub
division Code specifies:
“Subdivision" means all di
visions of a tract or parcel
of land into two or more lots,
building sites, or other di
visions for the purpose,
whether immediate or future
of sale, legacy, or building
development, and includes all
division of land involving a
new street or a change in
existing streets, and includes
resubdivision and, where ap
propriate to the context, re
lates to the process of sub
dividing or to the land or area
subdivided: Provided, how
ever, that the following are
not included within this def
inition:
“The division of land into
parcels of five acres or more
where no new street is in
volved” (this provision means
each parcel to be five acres
or more).
The same Code provides:
“Sec 302 Use of Plat. The
transfer of, sale, agreement
to sell, or negotiation to sell
land by reference to or ex
hibition of, or other use of a
plat of a subdivision that has
not been given Final Approval
by the Planning Commission
and recorded in the office of
the Clerk of the Superior Court
of Forsyth County is prohib
ited, and the description by
metes and bounds in the in
strument of transfer or other
document shall not exempt the
transaction from such
penalties.”
Therefore, all real estate that
is subdivided into parcels for
purposes of auction (or dis
position in any other manner)
must be (1) approved and
stamped as approved by the
Planning Commission and (2)
recorded with the office of the
Clerk of the Superior Court.
It may notbesorecordedwith
out said stamp of approval by
the Cumming-Forsyth County
Planning Commission.
The Forsyth County Subdiv
ision Regulations were adop
ted by the Forsyth County
board of Commissioners on
September 24th 1973.

In memory of our darling daughter Kathy, 3
neices Patricia, Linda & Peggy, one dear friend,
Krista, who passed away 3 years ago, Nov. 8 in a
ear - train accident.
“GUESTS OF GOD"
From the dust of the weary highway
From the smart of sorrow’s rod,
Into the royal presence,
They are hidden as guest of God.
The veil from their eyes is taken,
Sweet mysteries they are shown,
Their troubles and trials are over
For they know as they are known.
For them there is rejoicing
For them, the festal array,
As for the bride in her beauty
Whom love hath taken away;
Sweet hours of peaceful waiting,
Til the pate we have trod
Shall end at the Father’s gateway,
And we are the guest of God.

IN MEMORIAM
In Memory of the late Rev.
C-A. Wallis who departed this
life February 14,1945.
Many of you will remember
him and his works, I am sure
I have lived to see come true
what he preached about peer
less days.
To the true Christian, Christ
said, let not your hearts be
troubled for in my father’s
house are many mansions if it
were not so I would not have
told you.
Written by the boy he raised
Ingram S. Pirkle
In loving memory of our Dear
Husband and Father Hubert
Terry who departed this life
one year ago November 6
Has it only been a year
Since we've seen that one so
dear
Your smiling face, your un
derstanding ways
Oh Daddy how our lives have
changed
Our whole world has been
disarranged
You were our strength-You
were our guide
You were Mother’s partner
You were always at her side
You raised us girls with love
and kindness
Our love for you
will always remain
Time will ease the pain I’m
sure
But memories of you Daddy
The ones you made so sweet
Will keep this family together
Till again in heaven we all
meet
Your heartbroken wife and
family
