The Bible recipe for a
genuine revival is found in II
Chronicles 7:14. “If my
people, which are called by
my name, shall humble
themselves and pray, and
seek my face, and turn from
their wicked ways; then will I
hear from heaven, and will
forgive their sin, and will heal
their land.”
Who are His people that are
2alled by his name?
In II Chron. 7:14, God
directly addressed King
Soloman, the leader of the
Jewish people and his people
are the Jews, and their land is
Israel.
The Jewish people are not
his only people, however.
God’s people are also His sons
and daughters by Spiritual
birth: Rom. 8:14-17 and they
are called by His name as
Christians.
Our land is the land in
which we dwell and God’s
promise is that He will heal
the land' belonging to his
people. In our case, the land
that is our land is America.
God says that “if my
people” which means _ that
Christians as a body must
obey. America’s fate is in the
collective hands of American
Christians.
The Lord can solve the
energy crisis and preserve
our economy. He heals our
land. We must accept the
Bible without question. We

must return to the absolute
when it comes to God’s word.
It is vital to our survival. Its
precepts and rules for living
must find its way back into
the mainstream of American
life.
One of the great ad
monitions of the Bible is
“pray for all that are in
authority” I Tim. 2:2 that
would mean the following:
The President of the United
States, Richard Nixon; The
Supreme Court of the United
States; the Governor of our
state; our senators; our
representatives; our state
judges; our police; our mayor
and city council; our school
board; and our military.
Pray for freedom to wor
ship the Lord, freedom to
know and speak the truth in
private and public, freedom
to own and control property,
freedom to raise our families
in the nurture and admonition
of the Lord.

The
Living
Way
By Roger Williams
An attitude of thanksgiving
and gratefulness to the Lord
is a stance that speaks well of
anyone.
In II Samuel 22, we find this
to be the attitude of David
who assigns all his success to
the leadership and protection
of the Lord. It really becomes
a humn of grace as he
describes his blamelessness
and lack of guilt before God.
This was not something he
achieved alone even though at
first he seems to be saying
that it was his obedience that
favored him with the Lord.
Further in the chapter he
strongly emphasizes that his
condition is the Lord’s doing
and that safety and success
come from the Lord’s hand.
It’s the Lord’s doing that
enables us to be free and
blameless before Him. David
was saying something in the
Old Testament that every
true believer in Christ has
discovered.
When one trusts Christ and
claims his love and mercy one
discovers that Christ has paid
the price for our sin and that

as far as God is concerned we
are indeed blameless and
guiltless. Our sins have been
covered by Christ and what
God sees is a cleansed, whole
individual.
We can only be that way
through trust in Christ and
total committment of our
lives to Him.

Christ we are ready to live
and we are ready to die.
Christ died that we might live.
Surely he hath borne our
griefs, and carried, our
sorrows—but he was wounded
for our transgressions, he was
bruised for our iniquities; the
chastisement of our peace
was upon him; and with his
stripes we are healed. He
arose from the dead for our
justification.
He said, “Because I live ye
shall live also.” It was not
until after his death that the
full power of his life came
upon men. It was on the cross

that he triumphed over the
powers of evil, destroyed the
dominion of death and opened
a new fountain of life. And
now his cross has become the
glory of Christianity because
of his resurrection.
Jesus was the grain of
devine wheat which was
planted into the soil of
humanity. Jesus likens his
death to the dissolution of the
seed which seemed to ter
minate His work, but really it
was its germination.
When we trust Jesus Christ
we die unto self and live unto
God eternally.
