Editor's Note
Boy Scouting has been
recognized as one of the most
worthwhile, character
building organizations in the
United States. The Boy Scout
oath to uphold “God and
Country”, is taken seriously
by the thousands of boys who
are engaged in the con
struction craft, skill,
citizenship and recreational
program.
Today, as always, for every
boy who is a member of the
Boy Scouts of America, there
is another boy who cannot
take advantage of the life
pattern of Scouting, because
there are not enough leaders
available.
Persons who are interested
in seeing that every boy who
wants to be a Boy Scout, can
be, are urged to contact any of
the leaders mentioned and
find out more about Scouting.

Parents Should Set Pattern For
Eating Habits at An Early Age

Do youbelieve, that man
was bom with the inate ability
to choose the foods he needs,
for health and life? Well, man
has no such instinct. This is a
myth.
If man had this instinct,
there would be no nutritional
deficiences, such as night
blindness, iron-deficiency
anemia, and others. Selection
of foods is a learned ex
perience.
Because it is a learned
experience, it is important for
parents to set the pattern for
good eating habits. When
their children in turn become
parents, their good eating
habits will be passed on to
their off-spring.
So, remember, one has to
learn how to eat well.
DIET MARGARINE
Diet margarine is a boon for
weight watchers. But what’s
it made of?
Half of the tub is actually
water. And diet margarine
contains 40 per cent fat in
stead of the usual 80 per cent.
It’s possible to use diet
margarine for cooking. But

COOKING FROZEN BEEF
What can you do when
dinner time rolls around and
the beef is still in the freezer?
Go ahead and cook it frozen.
Allow extra time for
cooking. Frozen roasts may
take half again as along to
cook. If you’re broiling frozen
cuts, keep the meat further
from the flame. Avoid letting
the meat get too brown before
the inside is done.
