THE WASH WATER
Someone has figured out

country washed clothes in
warm or cold water, ,the
national fuel savings would
equal about 100,000 barrels
of oil a day-or 2% percent of
the total demand for
residential heating.
to be named tophoncho of the

throughout the football

continued to be in muckity
muck form by selecting win

she got out her football
statistics and started mak
ing those winning predic
tions.”
In making the award to
last place piggie person win
ner of the year, Cosey
snickered, “And the winner
is—Roger ‘Toby’ the pig

After making the awards,
Cosey said the evening

team. “I feel Mrs. Cathy
(Miss Piggie) Puckett
should get an award for

due to being named the
Piggie-Person for 19 con
secutive weeks. I want to
wish you all the luck in the
world and hopefully you’ll
learn the difference between
a goal post and third base by
next football season,” Cosey
told Mrs. Puckett.
Cosey called attention to
the faithful contender who
had placed in second place
throughout the football

Cosey said.
The Illustrious Editor then
presented a $3 gift cer
tificate and two cans of Bur
ma Shave to Steve “Legs”
Bennett. Calling attention to
the fact Bennett had been in
the number one position on
the fumbler team a time or
two, Cosey summed Ben
nett’s predictions up as,
“You blew it buster! ”
Cosey said Ms. Sheila
“Kink” Martin had been a
good fumbler throughout the
pigskin season. “Even
though she doesn’t run on all
eight most of the time, she is
certainly to be considered
the kinkiest of all the
tumblers,” Cosey said.
Cosey said it was fun and
games for the Fumbler
Team at the news office five
days a week. “We even play
during football season, too,”
the editor added.
In closing the big event,
Cosey gave a special invita
tion to Roger “Toby the Pig”
Henderson and Mrs. Cathy
“Miss Piggie” Puckett to
join him again next year for
pigskin play predictions.
When questioned why he
didn’t mention all the
tumblers were invited to be
on the team next year, Cosey
said, “I ain’t no fool. I’m
gonna win next year! ”
