Was Adam
First Man?
BY DR. F. MACON HUNT
Forsyth Bible Class
At the recent Georgia Bap
tist Convention, we had the
biggest discussion since
slavery over the issue of
Biblical inerrancy, or was
Adam the first man. Surpris
ingly most of our pastors in
the Baptist Churches, plus
professors in seminaries just
don’t believe Adam was the
first man.
This is what was taught
most of them in the
seminary and it is
sometimes called, ‘Theistic
Evolution,” which is a com
promise \yith the Bible and
education at best.
Let me refresh some on
the facts of what God said.
Gen. 1:26, “Let us make man
“Adorn,” the first time it is
used in the Bible, the word
for man in Hebrew -
“Adorn” - “Damah,” they
survive as the same root
word, “Red Earth.” The Bi
ble said God made
(Adamah) from the earth,
also in the Talmud which is
the ancient books of Jewish
Laws, it speaks of the

NERVOUS
TENSION...
Insomnia, neck and shoulder pain, backaches
irritability, digestive disturbances...all can be symp
toms of nervous tension. Emotional and dietary in
fluences are commonly recognized causes.
Mechanical imbalance of the vertebrae can also
produce the same symptoms. A complete examination
should include a thorough chiropractic spinal
evaluation. Chiropractic adjustment, when indicated,
can normalize the condition.

Hebrew letters as “blood,
water and gall.” The idea of
God creating humanity in
stead of one man is frequent
among some liberal or more
learned “scholars,” and yet
the language itself tells us
that God made man, created
man and took woman from
man’s rib.
We must be honest in our
approach to this, and yet the
skeptics of Darvinism or
super-heroes of the past
have discounted the ability
of God to create heaven and
earth and then create man.
We will soon see zombies
or children from parentless
unions: who won’t know why
or for what they are here for.
We need to know that God
made man in “His” likeness,
not like a monkey or one of a
group who just one day pop
ped up and started to vote,
drive a car and became a
good Baptist.
I would rather believe
what God said in the Bible.
He has more honesty and in
tegrity than all the
characters who claim to
know it all.
