By JAY JORDAN

A decision on the contro
versial alpine slide proposed
for Sawnee Mountain was
postponed in Forsyth County
Superior Court in a hearing
Sept. 18.
Judge Richard Neville
said he would make a deci
sion after attorneys for both
sides submit briefs, or legal
arguments, to him on
whether or not the Inventex
Corporation is legally enti
tled to do business and
thus sue Forsyth County
in Georgia.

Reed admits that discipline, which he
defines as “maintaining order,” has
become more of a problem through the

though, by establishing early in the

But even with the increased discipli

knowledgeable. “They're easier taught
because they come with better vocabu

Forsyth County March, 1980,

An alpine slide is a kind of

Reed, who will be 58 on his next birth

and then retire. He longs to return to
Europe and do some extensive travel

Teaching, though, is something Reed
says he’ll always love. “This is my life
and one reason I’m still alive.” (Reed
almost retired in 1971 when he suffered
two heart attacks.)
Besides teaching, Reed is going o.i
