Carnes
Robert Andrew Carnes, 19,
of Cumming Route 2, was
buried on Thursday, May 28.
He died Monday, May 25, as
a result of injuries sustained
in an automobile accident.
Surviving are: his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. James Dorsey
“Buster” Carnes Sr. of Cum
ming; his sister, Stella
Vaughan of Cumming; two
brothers, Jimmy Carnes and
David Arnold Carnes, both of
Cumming; his grandmother,
Mary Daniel of Cumming;
and Billy Daniel and other
relatives.
Funeral services were at 2
p.m. at the First Baptist
Church of Cumming. The
Rev. Roger Williams offi
ciated and burial was in
Sawnee View Memorial Gar
dens.
Worley
Glenn Rupert Worley, 71,
of Cumming Route 6, was
buried on Tuesday, June 2.
He died Sunday, May 31,
after a brief illness.
Surviving are: his wife,
Irene Pruitt Worley of Cum
ming; a son, Preston Worley
of Cumming; three grand
children, Jeff, Scott and Me
lissa Worley, all of
Cumming; three sisters, Ida
Pruitt, Maude Milford and

Following Struggle
A 47-year-old Forsyth
County man was arrested by
city police Friday night fol
lowing an incident that in
volved a Cumming
Policeman, according to
Chief Gabe Dukas.
Authorities said Officer
Wayne Lindsey arrested
Gamell Chadwick about 9:25
p.m. near the high school
after Chadwick allegedly
struggled with the officer.

Mr. Worley was a member
of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church
where he had served as a
deacon for 30 years. He had
been the Sunday School su
perintendent for about 10
years.

She died Monday, May 25,

Chadwick allegedly grabbed
a pistol and the officer at
tempted to take it away from
him inside an automobile.
The report said the gun went
off twice during the struggle.
The incident occurred
near the gate of the school
while Lindsey was directing
traffic following local grad
uation exercises, the report
stated.
