Recipes For The Autumn Theatre Season

BACARDI
1 GOLDEN PUNCH
$ cans (20 ounces each)
cnished pineapple in its own!

2 cans (6 ounces) frozen 1
lemonade concentrate
44 cup liquid brown sugar
cup lime juice
*1 bottle (4/5 quart) Ba
cirdi light rum
I bottle (28 ounces) chilled
clhb soda
Ice cubes
Strawberries
lime slices
|n blender, whip 1 can
pfheapple until thickened.
POur into pitcher or punch
bqwl. Repeat with remaining
cqh of pineapple. Add re
maining ingredients. Blend.
Serve. Makes about 3 quarts.

margarine i
& cup green onion,
dipped

1 cup soft bread cubes
& cups unpared apple,
cqprsely chopped

54 teaspoon poultry sea
-12 thin scallops of veal
(about 1-M> pounds)
Flour
4 cup orange juice
cup Bacardi light rum
Candied crabapples or
sauteed apple slices
Hot cooked rice
In skillet, melt 4 table
spoons butter. Add onion and
garlic. Saute, stirring often,
until onion is golden. Blend
in bread cubes, apple, salt
and poultry seasoning. Di
vide stuffing among veal
slices. Roll up each slice and
secure with toothpicks. Dust
lightly with flour. Brown
veal in remaining 2 table
spoons butter. Add orange
juice and rum. Simmer, cov
ered for 20 minutes or until
veal is tender. Serve gar-

be played at Bennett Park.
Going into the tournament,
the local girls are batting
.469 as a team and are aver
aging over 10 runs a game.
The Lady Bulldogs ended
the regular season play last
week without a single starter
batting below .400. Stacy
Bennett has been the team’s '
hitting star this year, lead
ing the Lady Bulldogs in five
offensive categories, includ
ing hits, RBIs, doubles,
triples and at-bats. Bennett
has driven in 24 runs (Hi 34-
for-68 hitting for a cool .500
average. Included in her 34
hits have been five doubles
and 10 triples.
Leading the team with a
torrid .552 batting average is
last year’s MVP, Missy
Freeman, who trails only
Bennett with a total of 32
hits.
