LEST WE FORGET
SOMEONE: Our heart
felt thanks to:
Dr. Matt Markey, who
deserves national recog
nition from the American
Medical Association for
his untiring efforts in pur
suing every medical
channel to save our pre
cious Mother’s life.
The Forsyth County
Hospital: this includes
every department except
ICU where we never were
from housekeeping to
the business office; x-ray,
dietary and all the nurs
ing staff for their kind
ness, thoughtfulness and
genuine concern.
The Ingram Funeral
Home for their kindness
and their expertise in pre
paring our Mother for her
final days on earth.
The wonderful neigh
bors and friends who
through these eight weeks
of watching our Mother
slowly die thank you for
giving of your time, food,
visits, phone calls and
cards; and you came to
pay homage when her life
was spent. She would
have been so pleased to
have known that so many
people cared.
And finally, to the Lan
ier Nursing Home, our
heartfelt thanks to the
most compassionate peo
ple I have ever known.
The three weeks we spent
there were a traumatic
experience. The residents
there became so special
to us, and they need you.
Please won’t all of you
who have family mem
bers there visit them
more often. The hours
you spend with them can
be so precious and mean
ingful for them to know
that they are not forgot
ten. They are all children
of God and they are your
Mother or Daddy who
have given their all for
you in the past. So please
don’t desert them now
when they need you so
desperately.
Lillian, Marcile and
Billy children of Ruby
Mashbum who left us on
Sept. 4.
