It’s Time Christians Woke Up
To the Editor:
With all the controversy
lately about prayer in public
schools and the issue of sepa
ration of church and state,
we as Christians have gone
to sleep.
It has been argued also
that the teaching of creation
violates separation of church
and state because it is a
religion. It is not. It is a
teaching of the Christian
faith. Let us not argue about
that. Since the biased judi
cial system of this country
has constantly misinter

Hospital To Add 30
New Parking Spaces
The Forsyth County Hospi
tal will be adding 30 parking
spaces at the rear of the
building, the authority de
cided during its regular
meeting last Thursday night.
Plans for the parking
spaces have been in the
works for several months
and were to be built in con
junction with a building to
house the ambulances and to
provide storage area. How
ever, the authority decided
to go ahead and seek bids on
adding the 30 parking spaces
and will decide later on
where to locate the building
for the ambulances.
When that building is con
structed, it will eliminate
approximately 15 parking
spaces, so in the long-run,
the hospital will be gaining
15 spaces total.
Authority member Atwood
Ledbetter made the motion
to put the parking spaces
addition out for low bids. The
hospital parking lot has
about 75 spaces now and
Administrator Joe Brandon
said at least 100 spaces are
needed on the average day.

While our efforts to include
prayer and creation in our
schools have occupied most
of our time, our attention has
been focused away from the
fact that another religion is
being taught in our public
schools with little or no oppo

“Secular Humanism,” by
it’s own admission is a reli

Several years ago the
Buddy Wilson family had to
cope with serious health
problems. Because Diane’s
husband was unable to work,
they had limited resources
and did not know where to
turn. From her problems
came a resolve to establish a
clinic to serve the needs of
people who cannot pay the
full cost of private medical
care. This committment was
as everyone knows, is close
on our heels, and Japan and
Germany are two of the
countries reputed to be
ahead in education.

is here by accident, and is
not responsible to a creator.
Let’s be fair about this
thing. If the judicial system
of our country insists in no

also their own religion of
Humanism. No more teach

idea that man is little more
important than a monkey.

Have you ever been
amazed that the liberal

More emphasis on “hard”

Shouldn’t the high school, for
