Lanier Cathedral
sets Word Seminar
Lanier Cathedral, in Cumming, will
hold a four-day Word Seminar with
Evangelist Hugh Smith, Oct 4-7.
Praise and worship services will be
held Thursday, Oct. 4, through Satur
day, Oct. 7, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday
morning at 10:30.
Smith will be ministering the integ
rity of God’s Word and healing to the
sick.
He has ministered with Kenneth
Copeland several times and appeared
on television’s “700 Club,” “PTL
Club,” Trinity broadcasting and the
“Good News” program of the Full
Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship
International.
One of the most remarkable mira
cles in Smith’s ministry took place in
his own life.

North Georgia College in Dahlo
nega. Gober, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Roy Green, is a student at Bry
ant-Glanzman Academy in For
syth County where he will
complete his English and social
science requirements for a high
school diploma. He will attend
North Georgia College for his
math and science programs. He
was accepted at NGC early
based on his Scholastic Apti
tude Test scores. He has at
tended a regular Saturday class
at Bryant-Glanzman for ad
vanced science and math stu
dents. The class was taught by
Carl Gianzman, husband of Bry
ant-Glanzman director Or. Joyce
Bryant.
Adult classes
slated at FCHS
The Forsyth County Comprehen
sive High School Vocational Depart
ment has announced plans to offer 45
hours of adult classes in two areas
bookkeeping and typing.
The classes are scheduled to begin
Monday, Oct. 8, at 6:30 p.m. and end
on Nov. 29.
The enrollment fee for each class
will be $lO and at least 15 people must
be enrolled before the class is fi
nalized. The classes will meet on
Monday and Thursday nights in the
Business Education Department at
the high school.

deSana slated
for Callaway
Forsyth County artist Jim deSana
has been invited to participate in the
Fall Arts and Crafts Festival at Cal
laway Gardens.
For two weekends this month, Oct.
6-7 and 13-14, deSana will be a demon
strating artist. Other performers will
include the Volante Woodwind Quin
tet and Bruce Lind, dramatic actor.
The second weekend will also fea
ture the Chrysanthemum Festival.

MT. PISGAH DRIVE
Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, located
off Heardsville Road, will hold a
glass/aluminum drive Friday, Oct. 5,
beginning at 4 p.m., and Saturday,
Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Also on Saturday during the same
hours, there will be a yard and bake
sale. The public is invited to attend.
POUR MILE SINGING
Wallace Allred and The Cavaliers
and The Ophir Baptist Church Choir
will sing at the Four Mile Baptist
Church at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6.
The church is located on Four Mile
Church Road located seven miles
east of Tate.

a singing Sunday, Oct 7, at 7:30 p.m.

during a pre-flight of his own air
plane, the engine fired, resulting in
the propeller striking him in the face
and almost cutting off his nose.
He was knocked to the pavement
and without any conscious effort be
gan confessing God’s Word concern
ing healing.
The following day, he flew to South
Dakota to begin a seminar totally
healed. He preached twice a day as
scheduled and three additional times.
Smith shares God’s Word in a very
down-to-earth and humorous fashion.
Everyone is invited to hear this

Heard reunion
scheduled Oct. 7
The annual Heard reunion will be
held Sunday, Oct. 7, at Coal Mountain
Baptist Church in Forsyth County.
The Heard family invites all rela
tives and their families to attend.
License bureau
to close on Oct. 6
The Drivers License Bureau of the
Georgia State Patrol will be closed on
Saturday, Oct. 6, in observance of
Columbus Day.
The bureau will reopen on Tuesday,
Oct. 9.
