Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Dwayne Espenship

united in Cumming
Sherri Lynn Schnabl and Jeffrey
Dwayne Espenship were united in
marriage Saturday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m.
at Community Bible Church, Cum
ming.
The bride is die daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Richard L. Schnabl of Cum
ming and the groom is the son of Joan
McDonald of Cumming and Jack
Espenship of Lake City, Fla.
Pastor Derry Cochran officiated at
the double-ring ceremony. Rachel
Crawshaw, pianist, presented a pro
gram of music and sang “Come My
Love” following the prayer. Mark
Butler, soloist, sang “The Wedding
Song” and “My Treasure.”
The bride, given in marriage by her
parents and escorted by her father,
wore a gown featuring a scoop neck
line accented with lace, a fitted bod
ice, and long lace sleeves. The
waistline cascaded into a chapel
length train of lace. The elbow length
illusion of her veil fell from a halo of
white silk sweetheart roses, stepha
notis, and pearls made by the
groom's mother.
The bride’s bouquet Was'd cascade
of white silk orchids, roses, stephano
tis and greenery with white satin
streamers. She wore a string of
pearls borrowed from Mrs. John Hy
drick of Cumming.
Terrye Bradley of Cumming was
the matron of honor. Bridesmaids
were Nancy True of Alpharetta and
Kim Hall of Mansfield, Ohio. The
attendants wore formal dusty rose
gowns of taffeta featuring a chiffon
ruffle neckline and bustle. They car
ried arm bouquets of pink carnations
with greenery, baby’s breath and
burgundy satin streamers.

The great coach, Bear Bryant, said
some people didn’t get to play football
and that he felt sorry for them.
Some people don’t get to share their
lives with a dog, and I feel sorry for
them. It is fun for a child to grow up
with a dog. Also, a dog can be a good
companion for an adult. In short,
people of any age enjoy a dog’s
friendship.
October is National Adopt a Dog
Month, sponsored by the Humane
Society of the United States and local
humane societies all over the coun
try. The Forsyth County Humane
Society has many nice dogs available

the bride, Richie Schnabl, and
Dwayne Martin, both of Cumming.
For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs.
Schnabl wore a street-length dusty
rose sleeveless dress with a chiffon
overlay gathered to the waistline and
draping across the skirt. The mother
of the groom chose a blue silk street
length dress belted at the waist with a
lace neckline and elbow-length
sleeves. Both mothers wore corsages
of white sweetheart roses and stepha
notis.
The wedding was directed by Mrs.
Mavis Cochran of Cumming.
Following the ceremony, the
bride’s parents hosted a reception in
the church fellowship hall. Those
assisting in serving were the bride’s
aunt, Shelly Rigg, Lisa Butler and
Amy Webb. Cheryl Dozier kept the
bride’s book.
For traveling, the bride wore an
off-white A-line skirt, blouse, and
jacket worn by her mother as a bride.
Her accessories were off-white and
KhtfWoffe her mother’s corsage.
The couple spent their wedding trip
on a cruise to the Bahamas, a wed
ding gift from the groom’s step-fa
ther, Steve McDonald of Cumming.
On the eve of the wedding, the
groom’s mother hosted a rehearsal
dinner, catered by Mrs. Gail Russell
of Cumming, in the church fellowship
hall.
The couple is living in Athens,
where the bride is employed as an
accounting assistant with the SBDC
at the University of Georgia and the
groom is a student enrolled in Air
Force ROTC and is employed part
time as a banner pilot with Phoenix
Flight Signs of Atlanta.

vacations are over, children are back
in school and families’ routines are
back to normal so that a dog’s daily
needs can be met.
