Memorial services will be held
Wednesday Feb. 13,1985, at 3 p.m. at
the Episcopal Church of the Holy
Spirit for Paul T. Kreager, 82, of 106
Pine Lake Drive, Cumming, formerly
of St. Marks, Fla.
A native of Newton, lowa, Mr.
Kreager was a graduate of the Uni
versity of lowa at Ames and Yale
University. He served with the De
partment of Interior-Fish and Wild
life Service for 35 years. He was
instrumental in the creation of the
National Wildlife Refuge System for
the United States and worked with
migratory waterfowl on the East
Coast, West Coast and the Midwest. A
member of the Episcopal Church of
the Holy Spirit, Mr. Kreager also was
a member of the Forsyth County
Cumming Optimist Club and the Yale
Alumni Association. Mr. Kreager
died Sunday, Feb. 10.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs.
Maribell Kreager of Cumming; one
son, Paul M. Kreager of Cumming;
five grandchildren, Mrs. Julia Han
non of St. Marks, Fla.; Michael
Kreager of Atlanta; Amy Kreager,
Kreager and Elizabeth Kreager, all
of Cumming.
Ingram Funeral Home is in charge
of services.
Able
Funeral services will be held in
New Orleans Wednesday, Feb. 13, for
Robert 0. Able, 78, of Roswell, but
who formerly lived with his daughter,
Mrs. Yvonne Godwin of Cumming
route 9.
Mr. Able, who died Monday mom
bang, is survived by another daughter,
■Mrs. Marilyn Solera of River Ridge,
■La., two sisters, five grandchildren
■and two great-granchildren.

Group to provide
safety materials
Businesses in Forsyth County have
joined with the Cumming Police De
partment to provide educational
materials on child safety and drugs to
elementary students, and slide pre
sentations on drugs, child abuse and
crime prevention.
Police Chief Ricky Padgett says the
educational materials are published
by the National Child Safety Council,
and will be distributed to elementary
students through a coordinated effort
with the Forsyth County Board of
Education.
Padgett says materials distributed
to children in kindergarten through
the third grade will focus on child
safety, while children in the fourth
through sixth grades will learn about
drugs.
The police chief said last week he’d
been working since November to
round up sponsors for the materials,
and feels the education program is
Four people hurt
in auto accident
Four people were injured in a one
car accident Sunday, Feb. 10, around
6:15 p.m. when a 1981 Trans-Am,
driven by Kenneth Wayne Smith of
Sharon Road , Cumming route 5,
apparently left the road, hit a guard
rail and continued down an embank
ment, the officers said.
According to reports from the
Forsyth County Sheriff’s Depart
ment, also injured was Anthony Ren
villia, 19, of North Ridge Road,
Cumming; Marian Esco, 26, of the
Old Atlanta Highway, Cumming; and
Janet Shirley, 18, Old Atlanta High,
way, Cumming.
According to Smith, 26, a vehicle
ran him off the road.
On the same day, around 1:23 a.m.,
Larry Lee McKinzie, 28, of Highway
141, Suwanee, was injured when his

The vehicle overturned after it had
