Full Gospel Men’s group meets Saturday
The Cumming Chapter of the Full
Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship
International will hold its first meet
ing Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Best
Western Lanier Lodge.
Guest speaker for the meeting,
beginning at 6:30 p.m., will be Milton
Martin, Jr., a minister from Gaines
ville.
Those who attend will enjoy a good
meal followed by a worship service
with Bill Furr, who will sing and play
the guitar.
Whom shall I send, says the Lord
Consider this thought: We are al
ways asking questions of God. Why
does God allow this or that to happen?
Will God do this for me, or that? How
can God help me and my family?
Well, today I want us to consider a
question that God asks us: Whom
shall I send? Who will do my will&
Who will stand for my causes?
God hopes, and even expects us to
say, "Here I am Lord, use me in thy
service to accomplish your plan.”
The trouble is that there are not
enough folks making that statement
Being free from the penalty of sin
In the Bible, Jesus is called our
advocate. A more modern description
for us might be that of a defense
attorney. He is the one who pleads our
case. Even beyond that, Jesus loves
us so much that He went to the cross
and died in our place, for our sins.
Picture a courtroom: Jesus is your
counsel, you are the defendant. God is
the judge and Satan, the accuser, is
the prosecuting attorney.
You are a believer; you’ve taken
250,000 Bibles ready for distribution
A total of 250,000 copies of Good
News New Testaments have been
unloaded from three semi-trailer
trucks in Atlanta at the Georgia Bap

According to James N. Griffith,
executive director and treasurer of
the convention, it may well be the
largest shipment of scripture copy

Dr. Griffith said the Bibles are to be
used as a part of the forthcoming
Good Ness America crusade effort
scheduled for 1986. Purchased by the
convention with a portion of Bold
Mission Trust funds, the marked New
Testaments will be made available to
Baptist churches across the state for
distribution.
Sold in cartons of 50, the books will

(1) To witness to God’s presence
and power in the world today through
the message of the total gospel for the

others.
A small town man called the opera
tor religiously every morning at 11:50
to get the time. The operator became
so curious as to why he called at the
exact time every day that she finally
asked him.
“Because I blow the town whistle
every day,” replied the man, “and it
is blown at noon and I want to be sure
of the exact time.”
“My word,” said the operator, “I
one robed with righteousness. Look
what he just did!”
Jesus then steps to the bench and
says, “Father, You and I agreed
together before the foundations of the
world that my death on the cross was
for this sin as well as others. Citing
the fact that I have already paid for
it, the sin has been placed on my
account and it is marked ‘paid in
full.”
God then takes the gavel and says,

We are all bound together. We help

and we live by each other’s example.
When people look at your life and
all for what it stands, do they see
anything of the Lord’s will? It is a
valid question to ask of ourselves and,
in fact, our living souls depend upon
our answers!
If you were to be put on trial for
being a Christian, would there be
enough evidence to convict you?
“Acquitted! Case dismissed.”
In His sight, this courtroom scene
took place once and you and I have

John 2:2 states that Jesus is our
sacrifice, “the propitiation for our
sin.”
