Kids Camp at City Park This is a camp for children age 4. 5 and 6 who have not yet entered the first grade. The camp is structured for pre schoolers, providing them with a safe, well-organized and fun-filled week Because young campers have a shorter attention span and are not ready to focus for long periods of time on one activity, this camp runs from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The fee is $35 and includes a camp T-Shirt, arts and crafts supplies, pro gram materials, refreshments and special activity fees. Campers will en joy field trips to nlaces such as the Yellow River Wildlife Game Ranch, Sho-Biz Pizza and Zoo Atlanta. Chil dren also will swim each day under the supervision of trained lifeguards. Tennis shoes are required. The first session is Goofy Olympics Week (June 11-15). Tracy Craddock kept the streak alive with another single and then Melissa Farmer’s grounder was bobbled, allowing Kevitt to score what became the winner “Cumming played us a great game,” said Harrison. “We came back with some key hits and were able to play some strong defense in the other innings. I was real proud of the way the girls came back and got the job done.” Harrison has reason for his hesitancy. This is the same team only won three games last year. That’s not to say the team didn’t already have some talent Two years ago players Sarah Ballard and Kelly Mathisa were named to the 10-under all star team, a squad which went on to win a state Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA) champion ship. Harrison, Croy and Davis were also members of that 10-under state championship team. The team is on the steps of making it big again. Harrison, who pitches when not playing outfield or infield, currently leads the team in hitting with a .900 average.
