The first Sunday service will move
from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. during the

Vacation Bible School will be held
at Shady Grove Baptist Church, June

Christ the King Lutheran sends
delegates to Synod Assembly
More than 500 persons attended the third annual assembly of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America-Southeastern Synod, held
May 25-27 in Birmingham. Alabama. Bishop Harold C. Skillrud of
Atlanta presided.
A new local congregation. Christ the King Lutheran Church, had the
following in attendance: Pastor J. Micheal McCormack and his wife,
Ann. Robert and CJ. Bynum, and Rich and Jan Grimshaw. Mr. Grim
shaw spoke to the Assembly at the ceremony in which the local congre
gation was welcomed as the Synod's newest congregation.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, headquartered in
Chicago, was formed in 1988 by merger of the American Lutheran
Church, the Lutheran Church in America, and the Association of Evan
gelical Lutheran Churches. Christ the King Lutheran of Cumming was
formed and organized on March 18,1990 and worships at 110 Dahlon
ega Street in downtown Cumming.
