Crespo
Jerry Travis Crespo, a 1991 gradu
ate of Tallulah Falls High School in
Tallulah Falls, recently- enlisted- in
the United States Navy for guaran
teed training at the Navy’s nuclear
technology school.
Crespo, the son of Gwendolyn Gor
ton of Cumming. enlisted under the
Navy's Delayed Entry Program and
will report to RecruitTrainingCenter
Orlando. Fla., in April 1992 for active
duty where he will undergo basic
training
Upon completion of basic training.
Crespo will begin more than 52 weeks
of schooling at Orlando in the nuclear
field.
The Navy's Nuclear Power Pro
gram offers extensive training as nu
clear specialists to young men with
aptitudes in mathematics and sci
ence. The standards for selection for
enlistment in the Navy's nuclear field
are high. A young man applying for
nuclear power training must be seri
ously interested in pursuing the chal
lenges this highly technical field of
fers.
