Deaths
DELLINGER
Janet Amelia Dellinger, age 53, of
Copperhill, Tn. passed away Jaa 19,
1991 at her home in Copperhill. She
was a native of Doraville, Ga.
Survivors include: two daughters:
Josie Johnson of Copperhill. Tn. and
Merri J. Pouncey of Cumming; one
brother: Joseph Ray Wigley of Doug
lasville; two sisters: EramaW. Alexan
der of Norcross and Lois W. Ross of
Dorville. Three grandchildren also
survive.
Funeral services were held Tues
day, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. from the Finch
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.
David Green officiating. Music was by
Jeri Sue Massengale.
Graveside services were held on
Wednesday. Jan. 22 at 1 p.m. from the
Laurelwood Memorial Gardens in
Doraville.
The family request that in lieu of,
flowers that donations be made to the
Bradley County Hospice, 175 24th St,
Cleveland. Tenn. 37311-0533.
Arrangements were made by the
Finch Funeral Home in McCaysville.
SKINNER
Mr. William Aubrey Skinner, age 55
0f6930 Keith Bridge Rd., Gainesville,
died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1992 at his
residence following an extended
illness.
Survivors include: daughter: Shelia
Skinner of Shreveport, La.: stepchil
dren: Karen Foster, Kristin Everett,
Jimmy Johnson, all of Shreveport,
La.; parents: Lee C. and Claudine
Skinner of Cumming; brothers and
sisters-in-law: Austin and Bonnie
Skinner of Gainesville. Winfred and
Charlotte Skinner, Wendell and
Diane Skinner, David and Wanda
Skinner all of Cumming; sister: Sara
Loggins of Gainesville; sisters and
brothers-in-law: Frances and Charles
Woody of Dawsonville, Hazel and
Raymond Dover, Joan and Melvin
Woodruff all of Gainesville; Betty and
Hillis (Buzzy) Bennett of Cumming;
grandmother: Mrs. Izzie Elliott of
Gainesville and 21 nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday,
Jan. 24.1992 at 2:30 p.m. at Chestatee
Baptist Church in Gainesville. Rev.
Jack Pierce and Rev. Harold Evans
officiating. Interment was in the
church cemetery.
Mr. Skinner was a native of Hall
County. He was a former resident of
Shreveport, La. and lived in Forsyth
County for the past nine months. He
was a member of the Chestatee Bap
tist Church.

Mr. Leon Hughes, age 71 of Stone
Mountain, died Friday, Jan. 17, 1992
at the Veterans Administration Hos
pital in Decatur.
Survivors include: wife: Arlene G.

and sons-in-law: Martha and Marvin
Goss of Statesboro; Rita and Uwe
Quade of Germany; son and daughter
in-law: Randy and Danita Hughes of
Stone Mountain; brother: Theo

ber of nieces and nephews.

day, Jan. 20,1992 at 2 p.m. at the cha
pel of Bearden Funeral Home. Rev.
Ford Phillips officiating. Inrterment
was at Sawnee View Gardens in
Cumming.

Mr. Gene Reeves, age 65 of Route 4,
Dawsonville, died Friday, Jan. 17,
1992 at his residence following an ex
tended illness.
Survivors include: wife: Bernese

Winfred Reeves of Dawsonville; sis
ters: Edna Fletcher of Gainesville,
Mrs. Rufus (Odeleen) Talley of Daw
sonville, Mrs. Charles (Grace) Aber
nathy of Dawsonville; brothers: Jack
Reeves and Jimmy Reeves, both of
Dawsonville; sister-in-law: Mrs. Jew
el Reeves of Dawsonville; stepgrand
son: Jason Smith of Cumming and a
number of nieces and nephews also
survive.
Funeral services were held Sun
day, Jan. 19,1992 at Harmony Baptist
Church. Rev. Jack Biddy and Rev. Joe
Cantrell officiating. Interment was in
the church cemetery.
Mr. Reeves was a native of Lumpkin
County and lived most of his life in
Dawson County. He served in the
Army in the Phillipines during World
War II and worked for the Depart
ment of Transportation. He was pre-
