The Georgia Public Safety Training
Center, an agency of the state of

Students win in the
stock market game
Captain David Evans, and
team members Chase Samples,
Brett Keyser and Michael
Grebe, have won the Forsyth
County division of the Spring
Stock Market Game with a port
folio valued at $114,211. The
winning team members are stu
dents in the class of Gordon
Benson.
The Stock Market Game is a
realistic simulation sponsored
by the Georgia Council on
Economic Education. Each
team began the ten week game
with a hypothetical SIOO,OOO to
invest in stocks on the New
York, American and NASDAQ
exchanges. In addition, students
can sell short, buy on margin
and pay brokers fees on each

from each participating public
school system and independent
school geographic region werd
recognized at the annual Stock
Market Game Luncheon in
Atlanta on May 16th.
In addition to the Council, the
Game is sponsored by th<i
Georgia Securities Association*
Georgia State University, the
Nordson Corporation
Foundation, the Securities
Industry Association, and
Southern Company Services.
