A. Marlon Brando won the little man
for his Vito Corleone in 1972. Two
years later, Robert DeNiro won Best
Supporting Oscar as the young Vito in
“Godfather Part H.”
Q. Os all the films named Best
Picture, only THREE have been
Westerns. Can you name them?
A. “Cimarron” in 31, “Dances With
Wolves” in ‘9O, and “Unforgiven” in
‘92.
Q. Who was the first performer to
win consecutive Oscars?
A. Luise Rainer was named Best
Actress in 1936 for “The Great
Ziegfeld” and in 1937 for “The Good
Earth” (the role Alla Nazimova created
on stage).
Q. Who’s the all-time Oscar champ?
A. Walt Disney. Before his death in
‘66, he personally collected 26 Oscars.
Since his death, the studio has collected
many, many more.

to those who have achieved distinction

heavy toll child abuse takes on its vic
tims and visits a residential treatment
program where abuse survivors try to
heal their wounds and rebuild their
lives. The first half-hour focuses on a
Chicago trauma unit that examines
physical wounds. The second half
profiles an Illinois facility for boys
who have trouble controlling their
aggression.
