out of the 11 categories of

decided to focus on car
safety, especially due to
recent concerns over air
bags and safety belts with
regard to small children.
The three young women
, spent a morning at Wal-Mart pass
ing out brochures and answering
questions about the correct way to

dents were reading about a home
less family when they were
inspired to help homeless people.
Mitchell contacted Family Haven,
who referred her to Sojourner’s
House, and the kids began a

also made morning announce
ments to encourage other classes
to participate. The class who
raised the least amount of money
got to “tar and feather” their
teacher with chocolate sauce.
The check was presented at the
P.T.O. meeting Feb. 10.
