Watercolor Workshop

Safety Town set
for grand opening
County preschoolers who are
signed up for Safety Town’s
summer camp will soon be
learning about safety issues
regarding electricity, talking
to strangers and more. The
camp is for children who will
enter kindergarten this fall.
During the nine-day camp,
the children will be visited by
representatives in the commu
nity such as police officers,
fire fighters and even an
employee of Sawnee Electric
company. The purpose of the
session is to educate young
children on everyday dangers
and to prevent unnecessary
accidents.
The grand opening of Safety
Town will be held this
Monday, June 8, at 8 a.m. at
Daves Creek Elementary
School.
Teen volunteers and dona
tions are still needed for
Safety Town, a nine-day sum
