Family Day
Cumming First United
Methodist Church’s Family Day
on Sunday, June 14 at 3 p.m. with
a “Field Day of Events.” The
United Methodist Men will host
the annual fish fry at 6 p.m. At 7
p.m., Joy Blankman, a former
member of the church’s Chancel
Choir, will present the Songs of
Joy, accompanied by the church’s
new contemporary ensemble. The
event is open to the whole com
munity.
City of Cumming
...hosts the annual Fourth of July
celebration which kicks off
Friday, July 3 at 6 p.m. Butch and
the Buckheads will play on the
courthouse square at 7 p.m. Arts,
crafts and food vendors will be set
up across from the square.
Fireworks will begin around 9
p.m. The band will host a twisting
contest afterward. Then on
Saturday, July 4, the annual steam
engine parade will begin at 10
a.m.
