I & Catering Co., Inc. I
By Terry Davis

||| Isn’t it hard to find an old-fashioned restaurant where you can choose your ]
S own meats, vegetables, breads and dessert? Well, we found one right here]
H called Country Meat Market and Catering Company.
■ “We’ve built our reputation on using the freshest produce, highest quality]
j|| meats and poultpt, but most of all, service,” says owners Michael and Rita]
H| Day who also said they proudly feature Harry’s Farmer’s Market produce.
According to Michael Day, he and his staff are able to select the finest and]
S freshest items daily for their versatile menus for their Hot Food Buffet and]
jg catering jobs. All salads, side dishes and desserts are freshly prepared dailyß
.and their meats are cooked over their special grill using oak and hickory ]
■ woods.
fl To top it off, Day says the take out hot food bar changes daily, but there are]
■ always at least three meats avail- ]
able. Some of the items featured ’“Leg’B > r «u,' s*
include herb marinated chicken.
baby back ribs, meat-
. loaf, barbecue pork, squash casse- **” Y
S role, rice pilaf, green beans, mashed JB
potatoes, homemade cornbread and [I
■ assorted cobblers.
“Our customers come in and out I '
' / of here all week to take out deli
cious homemade food.” says Day. ■
|| The Market opens from 10 a.m. to 7
I p.m. Tuesday through Thursday;
I Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday’s from 10 a.m. 1

B available, such as Certified Angus Steaks and special catering items.
The folks at Country Meat have built a reputation in Forsyth, Lake Lanier ■
■ and surrounding areas for 10 years, but they also have another personality:]
■ catering. If you’re looking for that perfect catering company for an event onß
■ your boat, home or business stop looking - Country Meat Market will leave ■
■your guests with a delicious taste in their mouths.
County Meat can cater any event, big or small, such as company picnics, B
■all-day barbecues, theme parties, anniversaries, a dock party, and of course,]
the holidays from New Year’s until Christmas and “everything in]
■ between.”
I The menu is a small novel, so be prepared to take your time selecting your]
fl items (they can fax a menu to your business). Typical appetizers may include ]
■ shrimp, lahvosh tray, watermelon bowl, stuffed mushrooms or barbecue]
■ meatballs. Some of the grilled items include chicken, pork ribs, pork and beef]
■ barbecue plates. Another popular item is the market’s traditional dinners,]
■ which include Certified Angus steaks and filet mignon steaks wrapped in]
fl bacon, which includes a choose of sides or salads, one bread and iced tea.
When the professional staff at Country Meat Market arrive at their cus-]
I fltomer’s function, they first set up the serving line, which is completely]
j fl portable. “Let us eliminate the worry of dining arrangements - just sit back ]
land have fun, take care of business and enjoy the experience,” says Day.
Because each catered function is so unique, the staff can handle a wide ]
i ■ array of services, such as tents and table rentals and special menu items and ]
i fl themes. To book your catered event, a deposit is needed to reserve your date. ]
I The Days stay busy with community involvement. They participate in the ]
i ■ annual “Tour of Homes” and donate dinners to other charities. Day is proud ]
I ■to do catering for Bill Elliott’s race team.
